Photographer’s Note

Downtown Burlington at the Waterfront.

This is a nice recreation area and a great tourist spot. Ferries embark from here to New York state on the other side. This is lake Champlain and the mountains you see in the far is New York state. I took this picture one evening after attending a festival at the waterfront.

Nice capture Harjit. This image has a good atmosphere, the people enjoying the sunset or whatever, breeze over the water. Good comp and subtle colours. Thanks for sharing.

Another beautifully captured scenery with warm and dramatic atmosphere.
And having the tourist enjoying the sunset is good, putting the something "live" in your shot.

Awesome warm colors. I like the way you positioned the shot so the light house lines up with the end of the shoreline.

This is a good example of level horizon. It doesn't have to be acutely level. But the dark tone of the waterfront makes the horizon a wee bit "tilted" which is not so. Trick of the eye.

You need a better focal point here Harjit than the waterfront. Photography is a lot like food for the eyes. There must be a main dish/course for you to start with and from there, enjoy the rest. Usually it is something nearer to you. Here, while you have the sunset down pat with its lustre and colors exposed well, the lacklustre waterfront doesn't do justice to your composition. You need something better to go, with your sunset.
