Picture taken during a balloon ride. Now, I haven't picked a city because I have no idea where we landed. It was scary in the beginning but once you get up there, it is so beautiful and quiet that you forget you're that high up in the air.
In this photo, we were getting ready to land (which can be pretty tough), and we eventually landed in somebody's backyard not too far from this field. It is customary to serve champagne after the landing with the owners of the property you land on, and that's what we did.
Hope you enjoy.

I know the horizon is tilted in this picture, it was really hard to hold the camera steady at that point, and I didn't want to rotate the picture because that would result in a crop and I would have lost the house on the right. I actually like it tilted, it gives it more of a dynamic look. But I apreciate all your comments and critiques. Thank you.

The shadow of the balloon is so sharp! I like how it's placement is random. Beautiful colors. I'm assuming the shadows on the bottom are of trees - those could be sharper, but I don't think there are any solutions to that. I like your note because a hot air balloon landed in my backyard when I was about 12, so it brings back memories. I don't remember any champagne being passed around though...thanks for sharing,

I quite like the deep, saturated colours and the distinct shadows that create additional "layer" and totally disregard what's under them - like the shadow of the balloon that's half on the field, half on trees :) I also like the strong square form of the field with the shadows running diagonally across it, very interesting effect. but the strongly tilted horizon bothers me a lot :( therefore, only 1 point.

Hello Gabriel, this is a nice photo, I agree with avene that the horizon is tilted, that is something very easy to fix in PS. I think the colors are a little over saturated. What I really like is the shadow of the balloon, it is so sharp. I wish it would be all over the field.

A wonderful shot! I love all the warm colors! Your POV is great as it captures the shadow of the ballon! Good dof. TFS

Beautiful capture of your balloon.
The landscape is so beautiful, especially with the bright sunlight and the golden hues.
The tilt doesn't bother me all that much because it appears hilly there, and to me the shadow of the balloon looks vertical.
What area of Pennsylvania were you in? I grew up in PA.

Well done Gabriel,a lovely shot.
I like the sharp contrast between the dark shadows and the bright sunlight giving us some wonderful colours. The placing of the balloons' shadow covering trees and field adds to the picture, and it is so sharp. The tilt does not bother me at all.
TFS, regards Jean.

Beautiful picture. Great composition, nice colors. The shadow of the air balloon looks great. This Saturday I'm going to see an Air Balloon show in Long Island. I hope I can get a shot from the ground.
