Photographer’s Note
Hickory Run State Park, five miles southeast of White Haven in Carbon County. A geologically significant field of unsorted, loosely packed boulders that resulted from periglacial conditions and that is unique in the country by reason of its large size and low (one percent) gradient.

Hello Darrell,
nice to meet you !
a very good POV you choosed here, what a sky you had in the day !
I don't know if you captured another one with another composition with more sky and less ground, but here still a good work and the lone tree has a great point in this composition, very well worked,Thanks,
Best regards

Nice composition and the elements are artfully arranged for good eye flow through the shot. The workshop does add contrast to the boulders. The tree may be a tad too centered for some, but it emphasizes the rareness of its being.

Très beau cliché, j'aime beaucoup, ce petit arbre perdu au milieu de ses rochers, c'est très sympa. Bravo

Hello Darrell,
Very beautiful! I like it.
De très belles couleurs, un ciel superbe.
Peut être juste l'arbre un peu trop centré mais la beauté de cette photo le fait oublier.
Best regards

I am constantly amazed by the geographical formations found around this planet.
You've done a really good job of presenting this one. The low perspective is a good way of showing the rock details and the extent of the field.
And that hardy pine growing in the middle of all that rock is a good touch.
Thanks, Nichola

Hi Darrell.
I really like the way you have composed this very original and esthetic picture. The texture of the stones in the foreground are very nice and sharp and you have managed to get the quality of the beautiful light.
Thanks for sharing!
