Photographer’s Note

This is the city I live close to.... Pittsburgh. This picture was a very cold day in January of this past year. I have visited 19 countries and 38 different states in the US and every time I look at the city I think it is one of the most beautiful. I took it for granted when I was growing up, but it really is amazing how there is so much steel and architecture sitting on a peninsula like this. It's really amazing.

HI Chris,
Beautiful skyline view, the light is excellent, and I like the dark colour of the water. I think you should straighten up the horizon a bit though. I have been to Pittsburgh, its not bad, I particularly like the glass gothiclike buildings. The one problem I see with most cities in the US is thtt the downtown areas are mostly office buildings and nobody lives there. Having a mix of stores, apartments restaurants etc would really utilize city centers to its maximum potential.

I like your photo, it is nice and clear and well focused. good contrast, the blue water and sky. I agree with rbcy. once the city
closes down for the day, everybody is home. city is quiet at night.

Great view if downtown Pittsburgh. You've got a great vantage point that really shows off this city inbetween the rivers.
