Philadelphia's City Hall is the house of government for the city. This view of the structure is from the Art Museum looking east up Ben Franklin Parkway.
Atop the building is the founder of the city, William Penn. Completed in 1901 it remained the tallest building in the city, by an informal gentlemen's agreement, until 1987
