Photographer's Note
Philadelphia City Hall sits right in the middle of the city; for a long time after it was built around 1900 it was the tallest building in Philadelphia, but as you can see, it is now surrounded by larger buildings. Once again the weather and sky did not cooperate in this photograph.

Nice view of City Hall - a beautiful example of civic architecture in the US that has since completely disappeared. The framing is nice here, showing the encroachment of modern buildings, and though the sky is cloudy and overblown the tower still contains nice detail. Thanks!

Hi Roger
Bravo for getting a perfect central view straight onto this fine building, and the rising towers on each side do make a beautiful frame. Wonderful detail in the tower in centre. Shame about the weather, but it doesn't detract from the building at all. Normally, I if get s shot with a dull grey sky, I'll try it in black and white where the grey sky is not as obvious. Nicel done!
All the best
Noel
