Photographer's Note
Aside from its fascinating history, fine colonial architecture, and its cultural impact on the United States, Philadelphia is also known for the abundance and quality of its street murals and street art. This is one such mural, captured on Market St., one of the city's largest roads, just to the west of downtown Philly.

Hello Andrew
very fitting title to this picture. It reminds me of one of Salvador Dali's sureal paintings about how one is forgotten by time. In Dali's picture there are three faces with groups of people behind that if you look closely represent the face in the foreground. But the farther you go back in the picture the groups of people start to scatter even more until you can't recognize the face anymore in them.
This one here has the same effect to it. Well seen and superbly presented with the tight crop eliminating any disturbing suroundings.
have a great weekend
Daniel

Great photo. It would have been easy to back away from this shot and include too much extraneous background. Great focus on the faces.

Hello Andrew - Interesting street art makes a good subject, here I love the colour palette and the obvious multi-layered quality of the shot with the artwork and textures of the wall intermingling. Nice close crop too which concentrates the view. Have a fine weekend. Rosemary

Hi Andrew
You make an interesting point about the grafitti in this town. I remember seeing a movie (was it Streets of Philadelphia?) where grafitti seemed to play a big role in the visuals. Anyway, I like the blue caste to this image, the tight frame and the depth of field. Great shot, very arty.
Cheers and happy Saturday

Hello Andrew,
as I see I´m not the only fan of street art.Such murals like this one can really embellish and enliven the cityscape. You captured the scene excellently.I like the perspective and well chosen angle to present the scene.
The title is apt to what we see here. The mural is really beautiful.I think, that sometimes such street art can be much more meaningful than we can realize it.
Very good composition!
Have a nice weekend

Hi Andrew
What a great way to make use of dull space, and this has a fantastic amount of emotion. Very nice point of view to show this too, great shot.

Hello Andrew,
This is a fine photo you posted while I was away. It's a very interesting and clever piece of street art. As we can see what the old wall looked like before the artist got there we realize how much this painting must have beautified the street.
Best regards,
Gert
