Photographer’s Note
Walking around Logan Square I came upon an art student painting in front of Moore College of Art. I took a few classes there myself many years ago - used to take the blue line to Suburban Station, which is about a block away. This scene brought back happy memories for me, and illustrated how much things change yet stay the same as time moves on.
In post, I cropped the image, bumped up the red hue, and increased the saturation to more closely match the lighting and colors I saw that day.

Hello Rachel, that's "art in art". A talented student is in action for a nice watercolor painting, and another artist is photographing her with an excellent management of light&shadows.
Congratulations, Tolga

Beautiful dear Rachel! Excellent composition that pleasantly shows us this absorbed girl in her drawing as if she could be in a wood and not in a city park. Good management of the colors and above all of the light that increases the beauty of the scene with its warm tonality. I like a lot the laying of the girl, you have really chosen the correct moment to capture this image.
Ciao, have a nice week!

hi Rachel
I like the daily life scene. The girl in her natural self and in focus of her work but I think she obviously was aware of being photographed, judging from the hand on the chin.
Good color and sharpness. The light+shadow is superb for this view. I would have avoided the crop of slippers at right but that is just minor detail.
Nice work.

Hi Rachel,
This scene is very nice, inspires tranquility. Your work at the management of the light is very good, you have caught a few nice shades on the grass, which they create a magnificent visual effect.
The girl drawing in this place is caught by spontaneity.
A beautiful work, I like it.
Warmest regards,
Josep
