Photographer's Note
Today's photo is from our neck of the woods. This is an Amish buggy, which is a common sight where we live. The Amish are a group of traditionalist Christian church fellowships that form a subgroup of the Mennonite churches. They are also known as the Pennsylvania Dutch (from the German Deutsch). Their faith emphasizes simple living, plain dress, and reluctance to adopt many conveniences of modern technology.
We were driving north as I spotted this buggy. I was in the passenger seat, which gave me a good chance to whip out my everyday camera. I must confess the photo did not come out great, so I tried to doctor it up by converting the background to B&W and adding some grain to the background. It still is not the greatest picture I have taken but I am including it for its documentary value.
Amiş At Arabası
Bu at arabasını gördüğümde kuzeye doğru yol alıyorduk.

Dear Murat,
America is a land of such contrast ! You telling us these communities are quite common near where you live. We in Europe think it's more for history or films ! Although I did see an Amish family once visiting the Arch of St Louis Illinois. Quite something !
You were so right to take the pic from your passenger seat with whichever camera you had at hand ! It was definitely worth including it for its documentary value, but you also made a good job with the colour buggy in the B&W background.
I have made a WS too, which I will add tomorrow when my quota is back.
