After providing a hint for today's upload, I guess I cannot back out now. So here it is, the classical view of Frank Loyd Wright's Fallingwater.
Wright was intrigued by the landscape of Bear Run, the creek that runs through the property. The terrain combined the beauty of a mature forest, massive sandstone boulders, a wild free-flowing stream and a forest canopy with native wildflowers. The critical constituent in this setting was the waterfall over which the house is built. The falls had long been an attraction to the Kauffmann family and they suggested the area around the falls for the location of their weekend house. They were surprised, however, over Wright's plan to build the house over the falls rather than facing it.

Nicely composed photo, well framed in vertical format. I like the details of the building structures and the well incorporated artificial water falls. The colors are (IMO) a bit oversaturated. Well done.

When I looked at the small version of this photo I thought it was over sharpened... but it certainly isn't - it was just the riot of autumn colour that confused me.
A good well composed photo of what looks like an amzingly located house.

The edifice was built with harmony to the surrounding nature, and useing the waterfall as part of its architecture's.
Marvelous location dip in green and in autumn colors, well presented on the picture - just pitty we can't hear the water flow...
Have a nice sunday,

bello questo omaggio al grande architetto, rivoluzionario, soprattutto pensando al periodo, questa costruzione risale al 1935.
Inquadratura classica e perfetta.

Indeed an avant-garde, elegant realization especially for the time (1938, I believe). This original creation makes for a beautiful composition, and you captured it in a flurry of autumn colors, which enhances the place, although I believe there is some overexposure.
I think that in France, he would never be given planning permission nowadays in such a place, where nature should be left wild.
Still, it's a great point of interest in this forest.
Thanks for sharing.

it´s another architectural gem of Frank Lloyd Wright(has built also a great house in Chicago I read about it).
And your presentation of it couldn´t be better.I enjoy your POV and how you accentuated here different aspects. As well the house as its surrounding are beautiful and perfectly captured by you.
Would be great to live in such house.
Have a nice sunday

this house is brilliant as a conception and a construction, this point of view gives us the opportunity to admire its design and the way it's integrated in the beautiful natural scenery. Your composition is dynamic and elegant, most rewarding in colours and details. A captivating view with so much to see and a wonderful atmosphere to enjoy. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a great Sunday,

That's a house known all over the world and I'd love to visit it some day!
I love its large size, the chosen pov and the composition, but I think it's too bright! Nothing serious though, of course.

I have mixed feelings about the Fallingwater house. Certainly your view is dramatic, including the cascades and surrounding greenery. And Wright's architecture is spectacular also, however I prefer Nature to be un-developed and sights such as this protected and open to all the People.

That mini man-made waterfalls is creatively constructed and environmentally blended into the lush green wooded setting. Like the perspective on this one, nicely captured with good strong detail around and the luxurious colours, of course the waterfall complements the subject matter appropriately lovely the way the water is captured so sharp but with a good sense of movement. A peaceful looking shot benefited much from the natural elements there. Well done, TFs

Now that is an intriguing concept for a house to be built over a waterfall. After several of your interesting detail shots of it, it is good to see it in the whole and in its context with the forest.
I wonder how the family gained the construction permit for a house in a setting like this, I am sure that over here one would never get a permit to build in the nature like that.
have a great day

You're capturing well this place by a good composition and excellent tone, so it's interesting and impressive to see the nature dyed autumnal tints and house on small waterfall with a good design. The house seems to have melted into nature.

Awesome capture of this historic architecture, I'd rather have a Frank Lloyd Wright's structure than the Frank Ghery we have in Las Vegas. Good pov and dof with nice details. Well done, tfs.
Yes, that was the San Diego skyline reflected on the bubble.

Voila, the house with a beautiful and clever design of a great architect who respected nature

A pleasing mix of architectural styles with the old stone support at the back and the newer looking cream terraces. The blue grey color of the waterfalls contrasts well against the yellow green Fall vegetation in the fg which adds depth and frames the sylvan scene nicely. Tfs!
