The Pittsburgh Steelers have held their annual summer training camp at Saint Vincent College in Latrobe, PA since 1967. Steelers training camp is free and open to the public.
We were at the Steelers' Training Camp today. I am not a football fan but my son and my brother-in-law are. Every year, during Steelers' Training Camp my brother-in-law comes up to take my son for a day at the camp. This year, it dawned on me that this might be a great photography opportunity, so I tagged along. Actually, the campus was more photogenic than the event. I will share photos from their chapels later.
At the end of the practice, spectators line up for autograph opportunities. Every year, my son has come back with a few autographs. Today, the practice went on for half an hour longer than the schedule. I guess many players were grumpy because of that and passed by without giving any autographs. A few, on the other hand, were happy to oblige. The top photo shows a player (sorry, he had taken his uniform off, so I could not tell who he is) humoring the mother of a 2.5 year old for a photo opportunity. The lower photo shows # 43 Troy Polamalu ignoring the pleas of the fans.

Nice shot from the football practice. Very casual and colourful. I know this is a big game in the States but not my type of football. Soccer as it would be called there. Love the expression on the top guys face.

You're capturing well this two contrastive photograph as a collage by a good macro and excellent tone, so there are the player according to fan service, and the player who ignores, surely. I know well that players are physically and mentally tired of alike in practice or a game, however, they are also the idols who give children a dream. It will be dependent on a player's individual nature whether a autograph or a photograph are embraced.

The father is a very bad example for these young boy.
Maybe is this a moment of excitement, the collage is very well made.

Tell my about grumpy, usually thats just me the grumpy old man ...
Very colorful sporting event, the enthusiasm of the kids is really palpable here. Two very good examples of how to motivate the kids.
have a great weekend

I like this combination of two photos and your note that give us so vividly the experience of the training camp and the relationship of players and little fans. It tells us also about the style adopted by both as football lovers. I watched a few games in the past and liked it but prefer rugby and "soccer", of course. Your pictures are very bright and clear like the atmosphere in the camp and the culture of the game are supposed to be. A very thorough presentation. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a lovely day,

Great capture of 2 different attitudes of the player's.
We have the same attitude by some of our footballers.
They can earn up to 250,000 pounds a week and look so miserable and unhappy. They forget it's the fans who pay their wages.
