Photographer's Note
These fracking plants are cropping up everywhere in western PA. There are various explanations as to the reason for the fires: 1) They are burning the natural gas until they can transport it, 2) They are burning off the "dirty" part of the gas, 3) Because natural gas prices are low, it would cost more to transport it than just to waste it.
I don't like any of those answers!
P.S. These pipes have disappeared now and the facility is in full production.

Hello Murat - well envisioned and executed shot that's certainly topical - fracking is a very controversial practice these days, and for good reason. The fires are an interesting counterpoint to this very vivid sunset, and a nice use of silhouette. Thanks!

Hello Murat

Hello Murat,
Must say in advance, I do not like the 3 answers to the quiz - but yet, a fabulous orange tone managed on this fabulous scenery.
Fracking is a modern drilling method, but has a devastating effect on the environment, undermining a vast area from bellow.
Nice posting the picture, and the issue about. Have a nice weekend,
Ike
