How difficult it was to compose the Statue of Liberty !!!

There is the PostCard way (of course), there is the abtract way too... And so many other ways (close, far, entire, part...).

And I finally propose you this one. Why ?
Don't really know. Probably because of the textures and the details, I appreciate. But finally, you tell me...

bonsoir Stéphane
et bien j'aime beaucoup cette version. Le cadrage est bien trouvé, belle diagonale. Et les teintes sont très belles. Bravo pour cet exercice difficile.
Xavier

Hi Stephane,
You really did frame it wonderfully here. I like this partial B/W look. It is not easy to get a novel POV for the statue, but you did it well.
Regards,
shaeri

I'm starting to worry! More and more I am liking tilt :) Before too long I might be trying it myself! :D. I think what makes the tilt work is the fact the torch is in the top corner and not some arbitrary place.
I love it; I'm also surprised that I like the totally white and featureless sky. This shot is all about Madame la Liberté and not about pretty fluffy clouds.
I also like the WSs, especially the abstract; it's a pity to leave it languishing in a WS. good work
Kath

JB.

Stephane,

I like this one, maybe because of the textures and perspective, I think it's an interesting view of the statue,

Regards

Sergio

Hi Stephane
Very well composed this picture. Well chisen the diagonal and POV.
Excellent sharpness and details
Cheers
Aires

Bravo!
Amicalement, José.

Hi Stéphane, when I saw the icon I was a bit disapointed. But when I opend the pic it was completly different. The perspective is unusual and cool ... and the texture is beautiful. Nice image. Nino.

Salut Stephane

gilbert

I really dont know why I also prefer this one either Stephane. Well, maybe becuase of the light, with the sky so burnt and white giving more sharpen to the figure of the statue, making the texture of the stone clearer than other photos of the same famous spot.
Take care,
Miguel

Olá Stephane

Grande foto!

I looked to your previous picture with the statue as subject, I found this something better, but is very subjective, your previous was classic and this here have a modern look through the diagonal version.
But both are very well of quality and nice for look it.
Very well done, TFS.

Have a nice weekend,
John.

Hey there,

I like all 3 views - probably the abstract one in last position... but this is a nice new way of showing her magnificence.

THe spikes are such a powerful sight in this.
Dave

Hello Stephane, a great alternative POV of this unmistakeable icon of America.
I like your treatment of the subject with a feeling of it being nearly a silhouette, but not quite.
Tfs, regards Jean.

Jean-Charles

Hi Stephane,
I like the color tone used here ... it is like the old Ilford paper tone used on film ptocessing. Clarity of details is good ... the diagonal orientation actually makes it more dynamic. Well captured and composed! tfs
Cheers,
Renier

Hi Stephane,

Creative way to show this most known statue. The composition placing the staute from one corner to the other work very well. Nice wok on the color and texture.

Flavia

Bonjour Stéphane,
I really like the way you captured the Statue of Liberty here, the very white background works great and I find the tilt also an excellent idea. Sharpness and details are great too. Thanks for sharing!

Bonjour Stephane,
amazing composition of famous statue. Good tilt and glance from low POV. Fine idea and work.
Gr., Aleksander

Bonjour Stephane
The white sky...you did some PP? Quite unbelievable, but then perhaps the effects of NYC perhaps. Tilt again & works again, works mighty well. I love the Abstract Way WS, this could be tantalising as a post, pls. post it as an original, my request
Best Regards
Angshu

Hello Stephane. The view of the freedom statue is not new. Nevertheless the photo is worth seeing. You set this important figure very effectively in scene. The diagonal in the composition is perfect. Very beautifully. Best regards, Wolfgang.

BASICALLY THE BEST PICTURE I HAVE SEEN SO FAR OF THIS STATUE!

ROLANDO
