This is my 1st post from my US tour. (Eleu, don't worry). This is my first post from my new DSLR Canon 7D.
This is a house in front of my place on the Staten Island. Travelling is a good way to coloring the my photgraph's map.
Best wishes from NYC!

New camera, new destination and the scene you share with us is also superb!
First of all I like your original approach to the N.Y-most of us would post N.Y skyline,Statue of Liberty or something more tourist for the first shot. But your composition is completely different and I like it!
The scene has very nice atmosphere-typical suburban house and a car in front of it.
Another thing is the light and colors you were able to bring out-both are amazing and only helps you to create mood of the scene.
I´m looking forward to see more!
Have a good trip

You certainly could not have chosen more American view to start your US travelogue. Amazing light, and a classic car. This so much reminds of the movie 'Bullitt' and car chase scene on the hilly streets of San Francisco.

What great light and color, Serghei! And WELCOME to the USA! It's not perfect, but we keep trying.
The car is a 1970 Buick Skylark. It is an example of what was called "Badge Engineering" at General Motors. The same platform was built into at least four very similar cars, with increasing levels of trim bits and creature comforts, and corresponding price points: the Chevrolet Chevelle, the Pontiac Lemans, the Oldsmobile Cutlass, and this Buick. Even within each brand, a buyer could specify more or fewer options for appearance and performance. High performance versions were the Chevelle SS (for Super Sport), the Oldsmobile 4-4-2, the Pontiac GTO, and the Buick GS (for Gran Sport). The result was literally hundreds of iterations of autos built on the same platform.

this is just typical daily life scene of house and the car in the front of the house. You show us wonderfully. Perfectly well done. Awesome photo job. Congrats
Best regards and have a nice WE,

Very nice to hear from you...... I hope that you get good results with your camera.
You will find the USA very stimulating.... it will make a big impression.
This photo is quite charming with some unusual colours.

Brilliant vivid colors, your new camera and your skills combined will no doubt create a lot of very fine images from the Big Apple! I love the car too, a beautiful vehicle, proper muscle car. (well, to me it is anyway!!) The angle of the road makes the scene interesting too.
Have a great trip.
All the best

Striking warm cold colour contrasts between the hot orange fg colors and the cooler blue hues in the bg. Good sharpness and excellent exposure and density. The pale pinkish blue acts as an intermediary color between the 2. Tfs!

A nice demonstration of the prowess of your new DSLR. As we say in Turkish, "Güle güle kullan!" It would literally be translated as "Use it [while] laughing," meaning "use it in happiness."
I like that 70's Buick Skylark, dent and all. Well spotted and rendered.
