Today I want to show you three photos of the Watkins Glen Park.
The Park is located outside the village of Watkins Glen, New York, south of Seneca Lake in Schuyler County in the Finger Lakes region. The park's lower part is near the village, while the upper part is open woodland. It was opened to the public in 1863 and was privately run as a tourist resort until 1906, when it was purchased by New York State. Since 1924, it has been managed by the Finger Lakes Region of the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation.

I´ve seen many waterfalls.... But this is a truly different and great photo!
Angle/POV, the framing and the smooth water is really attractive.

Splendid this beautiful composition, original frame in the diagonal position, showing the beautiful water fall among the rocks with such curious forms, magnificent textures of them.
A superb light management, sharpness is also perfect to enjoy the picture.
Very pretty color, which gives a lot of life to the image.
Very well done.
Have a good day.

Hi Serghei, Excellent shot with long exposure. I like such silky waters. Interesting composition. The colours of the rock are fine too. You visited so many places!

I wish I wish I wish I could do these kind of shots on waterfalls, but every time I try I massively overexpose the shot, so its always a pleasure to see such a success as you here. I love the angle you chose to take and present this from and the effect on the water is superb.
Thanks as always
P.S. Trekearth not allowing me to leave green smilies today, my apologies

Hello dear friend,
If you're reading this, you must be home! :) Glad you made it back safely and had a good time while you were here...you're always more than welcome to come back to Arizona!
As much fun as it is to travel, it's still nice to be back with family and friends while in the comfort of your own bed, yeah? :) I already know you have a ton of pictures, and I look forward to seeing them here!
These were some really gorgeous shots from the canyon, and a splendid choice to post. The smooth flowing water from the longer exposure sets a calming mood over the scenery...and the blue cast in the water is cool and inviting. I like the angle as well, gives it an added dynamic effect. Now, get some rest...just not in the restroom! :)

glad to see you utilize your time in N.Y to find such beautiful places(totally unknown here on TE,at least I think so).Beautiful waterfall and magnificent capture of it.1sec. seems to be the best exposure time to bring out the whole beauty of the scene(the water looks fabulous, not too "smooth"-just in my taste).
For me-masterfully composed and executed composition!
Wish You a nice day

A splendid nature picture composed very well.
The long exposure has a great effect on the long and thin water jets while the dark rock makes the water look even more beautiful.
You've really discovered a wonderful piece of nature in New York.
Best regards, Paul

I hope you are rested and relaxed upon arriving home. Also, I hope everyone here treated you with courtesy and hospitality!
There must have been a lot of water flowing here, as one second is not extremely long exposure, but the result is great. I applaud you, also, for your choice of the tilted framing -- it works well!

I love this type of composition and the technique you used to achieve it. The tonal range is gorgeous as are the amazing textures in the rocks and water. Of course the star of the show is the silky water, the result of your impeccable timing and light management. Great shot, congratulations.

I like the quality of the image and the precision of the composition, the effect on the water is great too and the light is ok
But i find weird the tilting of the horizon, because the water seems not to poor vertically and this is strange in earth gravity conditions ;)

This is a lovely photo. The time exposure has worked very nicely here. Now, did you hand-hold the camera during the exposure? If so you must have very steady hands or your camera/lens has a very effective anti-vibration feature. The sharpness is excellent, the colors are lush but natural and that slight tilt to the camera is most playful. Very creative, TFS!

You should post a bigger picture :)
