Photographer’s Note
There are perhaps no new views of this magnificent natural wonder but like sunsets and sunrises I expect we will post our own versions of what we saw when we visited.
It was many years before that I last was here and I was not dumbstruck then with the awesomeness of this location as I was this visit, and i did not get to see the view from the Canadian side which I understand is even more spectacular.
The water passing from one level to another is beautiful and the place is beautiful on many levels but to me the most wonderful part was the access the public has to the falls. Sure it cost 10 dollars to park but all the attractions, the bridge, the islands in the center stream and all along the water was open. The closeness of the moving water and the falls is amazing, there is even one place from Goat Island when you can lean over and look straight down over the precipice. What a beautiful location, one to be seen by all, not just honeymooners.

Awesome shot greg! Subdued colors of the ground emphasize more the mist and the power of the falls.

This shot is probably one of the best I have seen lately on TE. I really like the side view of the falls better than the front view. I believe the view from the side adds more character and gives the opportunity for better composition. Also it really emphasizes the mist produced by the huge amount of water falling down the wall. You have here a very good picture.

Hi Greg - I like your version of Niagara - its well shot and almost painting like. The inclusion of the group on the left is nice for scale, and the sheer volume of water niagara is famous for is captured so well.
Great work,
Dave

Great picture of this famous landmark! The close in view really shows us the power of the water as it goes over the falls. I like how you showed the people on the left, giving us a sense of scale, as well as making it easy for us to imagine that we are there too. Well done!

Adding the people on the left gives some scale to the falls. The exposure is bang on. Well done.

Hi Greg,
You have managed to incorporate the lovely autumn colors and the wonderful natural force of this powerful work of nature. the dramatic white foam contrast beautifully with the blue sky and surrounding fall pallet. Very beautiful natural landscape.

Hello Greg,
Thanks to make us discover this fall. As you said it was already shown a lot of time, but it is still powerful and worth to be shown again.
The composition is classical but efficient with the people on the left to give the scale and the nice color of autumns.
Have a nice week end,
Yves.

Hi Greg,
Nice to see a view taken from the American side, mostly we see them from the Canadian with the Horseshoe Falls. I like the fact that you included some people on the left, makes it more alive and the tiny yellow and red flowers in front make the whole image very joyful to look at...really nice work.

Hi Greg,
Good idea to shoot this gigantic waterfall using the 200mm,at least your lens wont get wet...An impressive shot but I think you could have crop it or give a little more space on the leftside.
Nice and sharp shot though,
Best regards,Lance

Hi Greg,
A classical, we can feel the force of the falling watwer masses and get a scale idea thanks to the watching people you wisely included, the fall color touches on the foreground are a nice bonus.
Have a nice day jY

Hi Greg,
good idea to include people watching the falls in the compo. It gives us a scale and show us how big they are... Nice colors too.

Hi Greg,
Your photo shows us the Niagara falls under an intimist point of view. The spray hides the width of the cascade and it looks like Gullfoss, the most beautiful islandic waterfall. Light and colors are marvellous. Good composition too.

Greg,
been a while since I looked into your collection that is growing considerably since you started on your re-discovery of the US. This shot is a re-discovery for myslef. I saw in the meantime so many shots of the Niagara that I started having the feeling that I saw it all. Your images teaches me that this is not right. I love all the inclusion of the colorful nature in the left lower corner. It shows clearly that there is still nature around and not only buildings and civilization around this marvel.

Dear Greg,
the picture you promptly share with us is very beautiful. The half is almost covered by water. A great quantity of water falls and the air blows away a lot of it up!
I like also the autumnal colour that enhances the scene a lot.
Have a nice new year, my friend.

Hello Greg,
This is an effective point of view for showing the forces that are loose in the waterfall!
A good composition with including the autumn colours and the viewers on the platform...
The backlight is effective in enhancing the moist air!

hello Greg,
we hope to get to Niagara Falls this July (I've never been there), and this photo certainly strengthens my determination :) I think this is one of the best shots from the Falls that I've seen, you have captured perfectly the force of the water and how tiny the people are compared to this natural wonder. the autumn colours are a nice touch too, excellent work.
with best regards,
Kristine
