Photographer’s Note

Niagara Falls New York, The Bridal veil Falls.

Located next to the American Falls, Bridal Veil Falls is one of the three waterfalls that comprise the incredible Niagara Falls. Situated between Luna Island and Goat Island, Bridal Veil Falls sits on the American side of the U.S.- Canada border, facing northwest. The crest is 56 feet wide, and has a direct fall of 78 feet that crashes onto the large rocks below, making the total drop 181 feet.
The Bridal Veil Falls is named for its appearance.Over the years these falls have been
called at different times; Luna Falls, Iris Falls and is currently named Bridal Veil Falls.

Over the years, the falls have attracted daredevils from around the world, The first person to successfully tumble down the falls in a barrel was a 63-year-old teacher named Annie Taylor in 1901. After surviving the tumble, Taylor's first reaction was,

"No one ought ever do that again."
