Niagara Falls is such a fantastic experience that you will find yourself trying to see them from every possible angle, and one unique view that lets us get up so close and personal with the falls is from the Cave of the Wind. Visitor clad in a bright yellow raincoats can be seen taking a thrilling walk on series of red wooden walkways to the famous 'Hurricane Deck' or the stormy mist zone where soaking up experience take a new meaning! As you stand at the railing, you are a mere 5 meters from the billowing torrents of Bridal Veil Falls.
There is nothing but mist, white water and noise! The pounding waters loom above and dousing with a generous spray as you face the thundering Falls head-on. The noise is tremendous like walking into a hurricane, with the wind and mist from the falls trying to steal the raincoat and soak you. This is where you will get drenched, really drenched. I really can’t believe I was just so close to a gigantic waterfall… and the power and the wind it had — Wow!!
It’s massive, and the flow of water over its edge is impressive to say the least and lethal to say the most. Despite that, the Bridal Veil Falls is the only waterfall in the Niagara System you can actually ‘touch’ but delivers an unforgettable thrill, just meters away from the thunderous, cascading waters.
It looks pretty tame from this view point.....

WShop2: Must have been amazing to see the real thing so close ... the thunderous falls and the rainbow

Ciao e buon fine settimana

This is a tremendous view. Wow. In this composition everything fits and everything is stunning. The water must have been impressive from whichever angle you would shoot it, but from this low POV it's really marvellous. Add to that the red staircases and the yellow people (plus one red), the blue sky and the nice clouds and you get a very memorable photo. The workshops are highly interesting too, but this one equals your best Asian photo for colours and the spectacular view.
PaulVDV (17203) 2013-08-31 9:41
The view upwards looking towards the crashing water makes this certainly a very spectacular picture.
The walkways and the people give a good sense of scale.
I like the red colour of the walkways creating a nice contrast with the blue sky.
Best regards, Paul

I´ve been only on Canadian side, but here the waterfall looks equally amazing!I like the POV as it shows the whole impressiveness of the Niagara falls.I must also say the red observation deck gives not only unique opportunity to experience the waterfall so close, but here in your composition gives also superb color contrast to the rest of the shot.

mi piace il pov di questa foto, le cascate sembrano ancora più imponenti e il bianco della spuma contrasta splendidamente con il cielo blu.
Molto bella la struttura rossa punteggiata di giallo, colpisce l'attenzione e da un tocco di colore.

You're capturing well this scenen by a good angle and excellent tone/clarity, so it's impressive to see the powerful Niagara Falls. It harmonizes well with red staircases extended to an observatory with rocks and blue sky. And, the spray from waterfall draws out a good impact in this image.
Indrasish (2349) 2013-08-31 21:10

Ths perspective of Niagara Falls is very well chosen.
Excellent sharpness and colours.
Sergiom (45244) 2013-09-01 5:36
Une contre plongée vertigineuse qui donne beaucoup d'ampleur aux chutes et témoigne de la témérité des gens sur les escaliers . Un endroit parfait pour mouiller sa caméra.
saxo042 (33856) 2013-09-01 8:18
A very impressive POV, standing below the water like this. The red barriers add fine details in the picture, an eye-catching detail below the white cascades and the blue sky.
rychem (13553) 2013-09-01 8:44
Intersting POV, this POV helps us to imagine how much water flows through there every second, very well deone
Noel_Byrne (13204) 2013-09-01 10:01
What a unique and vibrant scene from Niagra. I would have thought it impossible to get a new scene from this iconic place, but you have done it, and magnificently so here! The clash of color in the red of the steps and the blue sky is beautiful, and the addition of the yellow raincoats is wonderful. The pure force and strength of the water is evident too, this is a mighty image of a mighty place. Really nicely done.
Graal (92110) 2013-09-01 11:23
another nice presentation of famous waterfall. Good and interesting mini series. Also I like the complementary WS. Superb quality of scan.
Have a nice evening.
marina7 (7160) 2013-09-01 11:43
I've got no words for that, the sight is awesome! And your composition employing the contrast with the bright red is striking too. I can imagine your delight from this experience, unforgettable!
ourania (18506) 2013-09-01 11:53
this is an absolutely awesome site/sight and your impressive composition and eloquent note evoke the whole exprerience: the tremendous force of the falling water, the sound, movement, wind, mist, drenched surroundings. I love the perspective and the vivid colours that make the luminosity of the waterfalls so striking and suggestive. The workshop pictures are superb too, you have managed to offer the viewer a thrilling glimpse of this unique experience and make their heart pound while viewing. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a lovely week,

I can almost hear the deafening roar of the millions of gallon of water coming down from those falls. I live in the U.S. but I've never been there, I'd say good for you to have visited this world famous waterfalls. I like this pov making the natural wonder even more intimidating. Good details and wonderful colors. Well done, tfs.
mjw364 (6142) 2013-09-02 10:27
Well composed shot with a strong contrast between reds and blues broken up by the white of the falls.
yquem46 (35256) 2013-09-02 12:01

Ciao Abmdsudi, an other great view of this fantastic waterfall, wonderful colors and splendid light, very well done, my friend, ciao Silvio
mirosu (8022) 2013-09-02 19:38
For the most part I like the composition and placement of items within the image. The landscape orientation of this works well considering the horizontal nature of the subject. There is a good counterbalance of motion here as well. The water moving powerfully down and the camera angle, pointed slightly upwards to capture the sky and also the escarpment and entire length of the falls. I like that you captured people at the foot of the falls. Their placement gives the viewer a very good idea of how large the falls are. Without the people, it would be difficult to tell how tall the falls in actuality were. Excellent photo. Greetings, Miro
shevchenko (18725) 2013-09-03 0:23
Good low angle shot to frame the spectacular view of waterfall, fantastic and the water is look like directly falling from the sky, attractive view in good contrast of color, good sharpness too, well done.
jemaflor (74014) 2013-09-03 11:55
Good angle with all these people and colors, impressive waterfalls, nice colors also for the blue sky, tfs.
PiotrF (2380) 2013-09-03 14:14
Another very fine picture of the well Niagara Falls. Lovely colors, textures, shapes ! Well managed shot!
gervaso (9247) 2013-09-05 9:00
The place is wonderful, and you got it with an incredibly beautiful sky as background! Very nice colors and POV! Wonderful composition!
macjake (45556) 2013-09-05 9:05
great photo my friend!!
you chose the POV smartly!
we often don't have the opportunity to see the Falls from this angle unless you're there personally.
and i guess thats the point because i actually DO feel as if i'm there when i look at this shot.
lucky for you there are some white clouds in the photo too for added views :)
mkamionka (27045) 2013-09-11 8:09
this is ineed a great angle, I did not visit this one. I like the red pathways they add a nice touch. Perspective from below helps to emphasize the scale of the falls.
adores (30775) 2013-09-11 18:45
Great pov! These waterfalls are really impressive, even more from this place. When I was there the weather was just terrible. Here you had a fantastic day! The red and yellow really stand out and the sky was perfect. Very good shot!
Waylim (23310) 2013-09-27 23:24
I have not been here myself, but I heard it is really impressive and I think I need to plan to go there. I guess maybe because it is in the U.S. I can go without much hassle, so I ended up not doing it. Again there are so many places to see.
This is really a good quality scan. I have many scan images that are not as good. Congratulations.
p.s. thanks for such kind words on my post of Monument Valley.
