Late afternoon in south part of Central Park, reflected on the lake’s water I saw the image of Manhattan buildings. Really I don’t know if the picture is better in this way or upside-down.

The photo is a wonderful mix of magic and moderns architecture. Nice strong colors. ¿Is it a photo or a painting?

you really dont know what going on but it is an amazing shot, so much to look at, its like watching a film, a whole story in one pic.

This is really good, great colours and it has a slightly surreal quality to it.
After turning my lap-top upside down, I think its even better the other way up.
mbasil (2129) 2006-05-14 15:32
Great image, either way. But I also had toturn my laptop upside down (luckily I wasn't on my desktop) I decided I prefer it right-side-up (reversed from what you have here). Of course you can always present the other one as a Workshop.
cleocat (221) 2006-05-14 15:32
I did the same as Ben and I like it anyway up or down. It has a surreal feeling. Stunning capture.
pboehringer (770) 2006-05-14 15:34
Hmmm, you're a rascal. The picture is awesome and I spent some time to figure out was "wrong" with it.
Personally, I prefer it with the real world view. Now, would that be the upside-down or the down-upside view?

Wow, that's great! I like the result of it, upside-down. It's a quite good composition, the colors are strong, there's a good contrast...Very nicely done ;o)
faraujo (1707) 2006-05-14 17:11
Nice view, the flowers and the leaves around the building result in a very good compo.
nbj (2095) 2006-05-14 17:38

i cannot resist not to put a smiley here. although the photo makes me feel giddy if looking for too long, but the idea is great.

Une image très originale qui attire. je l'aime bien dans ce sens...mais également dans l'autre...difficile de choisir. Une image réussie en tout cas.

Excelent shot and POV... if this is the "usual" view!.I think this is a strange but unique picture of Manhattan's buildings and the Central Park. Looks like you've taken the picture underwater!!!. Excelent colors and reflection!.
craiggc (2509) 2006-06-09 17:59
Wow, this picture really messed with my head! I thought it was a digitally created image. Then I turned my laptop upside down and it all meade sense.
oochappan (16981) 2006-06-18 2:15
most remarkable clear reflection, very well seen, I would like it as much not upside down I think, colors are excellent.

I´ve been looking in your gallery and you have quite a collection. Good work. This shot if very good although a bit overwhellming as there is so much to look at. Beautifully taken and I think I like it better upside-down.

Ciao Christian, i riflessi mi hanno sempre affascinato.. e Manhattan è la città che affascina chiunque.. in questa foto tu unisci questi due aspetti e ci regali una visione insolita e speciale.. BRAVO!!!
benkrut (2407) 2006-07-27 18:27
Very well composed. I like the idea of posting only the reflection and upside-down.
I posted a similar one from Sydney some time ago - take a look if you want to.
danielswalsh (13599) 2006-07-31 9:06
Great idea reversing this one Christian, I did a similar shot with a reflection off some wet sand- a different take on things for sure.
I;m quite amazed how clear the reflection is, especially off the murky water.
Well seen Christian!

Wow! I think I like it more this way. It gives it a very etheral quality. Great colours. I can't believe how clear the reflection is.
pady (4800) 2006-09-07 4:27
It's very good in this way. It's a little bit surnatural.
Nice composition, I like it.
dcawker (5717) 2006-09-07 10:37
Very surreal, which I always enjoy. A really original "take" on the reflection idea. Regards, Doug

A very interesting picture, indeed. I like the idea behind it and the way you managed to get such a nice contrast. It's confusing at the first moment- but it's great...
sothy81 (9568) 2006-12-11 12:28
Wow this is amazing Christian. It does look like the one in a movie. Looks so mystirious. Great reflection. Sothy

Tall buildings and green nature combine very nicely in a puddle. Great effect.
branley (3681) 2007-01-19 20:37
saw your image on the home page and it's amazing. I think it looks great this way and upside down! The framing by the trees is incredible too, well spotted, a superb capture and one for my favourites.
MikiM (1924) 2007-02-26 8:14
Really unique comnposition - with this POV. I think this way it is a bit more special. Not "only" a nice shot with reflection.
Thinking outside the box!!! - I admit your creativity very much! Your talent is obvious. Thanks for sharing.
fotoguy22 (4794) 2007-09-01 19:50
It's very cool how upside down is right side up. Great color saturation and I really like the green water plants or moss (whatever that is) floating on the water.
Bluejeans (64249) 2007-09-08 5:11
Ficou uma foto bem artistica , bem colorida , os reflexos dos edificios ficaram fantasticos , parabens!!!
