Photographer's Note
These sellers are on just about every corner from 27th up to central park and onwards.
I was waiting on my wife and son so thought i would snap a shot or 2 of this guy whilst there.
I find them very interesting but i haven't had a pretzel on this trip which is a novelty for me...
A fair few chicken gyros i might add mind you :-)
I was straight up the cart the guy has is leaning off the edge of the kerb

Hello John,
I cannot help but marvel at your ability (despite the use of image stabilisation) of being able to hold a camera steady for 1/20 second on a focal length of 200mm!
You have come up with a very fine result here too. The light on the man's face and jacket is what really pleases me. He is placed perfectly in the frame and we can see enough of his stall to know what he is selling. The bright blobs of light in the background let us know that this was taken in a city at night and the lighting suggests that this was a cold night too. But the warmth of the colours from the kiosk are welcoming.
Amazing sharpness considering the conditions, lovely colours and spot-on exposure too.
Excellent!
Kind Regards,
John.

Hello John,
un joli cliché de la vie quotidienne, j'aime l'atmosphère de nuit et les belles couleurs.
Bien vu!

An excellent shot of a New York icon: the hot dog guy! The light, the steam, the winter gear, and the lights behind him all create a perfect mood - and make me hungry as well!
Really impressive shot given the high ISO and low light - great sharpness at a slow shutter, and you've retained great color and clarity here. Thanks!

Hello John,
Classic NYC. :-) I like the sharp view of the vendor in the foreground, but I am also as fascinated with the blurred city lights behind him. Your DOF creates a nice contrast. Yes, these guys are practically on every corner in some areas, but most New Yorkers go for the mobile gourmet food trucks these days. I'm sure you saw some, too. You can get almost any type of cuisine in the street these days!
