The Glen Span Arch is one of two rustic arches near West 102nd Street in the North Woods area of Central Park. It was built in 1865 and was designed by Calvert Vaux & Jacob Wrey Mould. A stream flows through the arch beside the pathway. The arch supports the West Drive above, where hundreds of cyclists and joggers pass by every day.
A magical location to wander through even on a dismal day.

one more interesting shot with the Glen Span arch to creates a perfect frame for the background buildings.I like the whole atmosphere as the narrow alley that created from the stones on it.Well done.
Have a nice week,Danos

You have done an excellent job with the sparse light and got the right exposure in every part of the picture. The haze, the autumn leaves and the mossy green rocks create a tremendous atmosphere. A very attractive photo.

this is one of the most emotional, atmospheric, impressive photos I've ever seen!
In a way this view (with such colours!) looks familiar to me because (although I've never been to the USA) I often see similar views in my dreams when I sleep (strange, isn't it).
Despite the fact that nearby hundreds of people pass by every day they are not seen in this photo, and this place seems uninhabited, mysterious, and all those buildings in the FG seem like a mirage which is about to dissolve in the air... this also looks like a scene from a quest thriller computer game.
Excellent choice of perspective; I like this POV - from inside the arch!
Warmest wishes from Moscow,

The grey atmosphere in this picture is very suggestive. My first thought where Edgar Allen Poo or for instance a new Sherlock Holmes. Something like: “Sherlock Holmes in New York.
I like the result and can imagine the location is magical.

this timeless feeling is my favorite,
distant buildings and trees look like illusions,
through this arch, all objects lose those original times,
and realities are flowed by this stream.
images are like in the time tunnel or the star gate...
the air is so cool, colors are so calm,
a wonder vision in your photo,

very classical shot depicting a beautiful view. what excites me is the framing within a frame. ovely composition and very rich and dense colours.
I could feel the quietness there.
