Photographer’s Note
The New York City Water Taxi company has set up "mini-beaches" near some of their stops. This one is located next to the South Street Seaport in lower Manhattan. While you have a snack, and your children play in the sand, you can take in a great view of the Brooklyn, Manhattan, and Williamsburg Bridges. :-)

Brenda,
I have never noticed these beaches when we have been at the South Street Sea Port, are they new?
Your shot is great with the inclusion of the sand people and picnic tables in the foreground and the iconic Brooklyn Bridge behind it. The lighting and colors are fine with nice sharpness and detail.

Hello Brenda,
What a funny picture, i never knew that something like this could be seen in NY. Those artificial palmtrees, how ugly, the whole scnery looks complete misplaced...but what a great shot to show here...i love it ;-)
Thanks for bringing this up. We here in Europe have a saying "Only possible in America". And for this scenery it's really true ;-)
Regards,
henk

Hi Brenda
Planting beaches in the heart of big cities is not new, Paris has had its own for several years, but it's right it's create quite a contrast of leisure against big business... since business is lo longer what it used to be let's go to the beach !
Have a nice day JY

Hello Brenda,
I love the group portrait of the three great bridges. It is a clever composition to catch all three, with the pylon in the foreground placed just right in the frame —about 62% from the right edge. The golden ratio is 1:1.618 or about 1: 1.62. Good intuitive catch.
Warm regards,
Bulent
