Good Morning Everyone,
It was a very early morning rise (5.30a.m.) to catch my first view of the iconic New York skyline.
With baited breath and camera in hand, I watched as the sun slowly rose. Oh, what a sight! I was elated as the sky turned amber and that famous skyline of buildings was came into view.
My very first visit to America was preluded with this amazing sight. I couldn't wait to see more!
Many thanks for stopping by, Bev.

Welcome back to Europe! A beautiful sunrise picture over the skyline of Brooklyn (or Queens? I assume this is East River here). New York is indeed an experience and quite different from the rest of the United States. Hopefully we will see more views here from the city that never sleeps!

and welcome back to good old Europe! This is really an exciting sight I must admit. The strong silhouettes against this lovely sky are fantastic. Most of all I like how the sun is still hiding behind the buildings. It was a decisive moment indeed! TFS!

There really is quite no other place like New York City anywhere in the world. This is a beautiful opening shot with the skyscrapers silhouetted against that lovely dawning sky. Well cropped with excellent sharpness.

Thanks for this sunrise view, from someone who has never been to the USA. What a moment for you. And the resulting photo is a beauty which you've cropped into a terrific panorama. Lovely sheen on the water and I see a small boat heading out. The exposure is just right. I'm assuming this is the view from your hotel room, in which case, lucky you. Hope your trip goes well and we can look forward to lots of photos.

Increeible skyline with this wonderful morning light, the backlight of the buildings and the sky orange background is a unique beauty, I like the grayish tone of the water and begins to reflect the warm colors of the sky. Great job.
Have a nice weeek. Best regards.

What a fine early day view of the Hudson River skyline.
The brilliant morning sky makes a lovely reflection in the swirling river.
I can be found about 200k upstream from this enchanting morning scene.

Good morning to you too,
very nice the morning view of NY with the sun to be just hidden from the tall skyscrapers.I like the colour tints of the sky, as dark silhouettes of the buildings making the scene more atmospheric.
Have a nice day,Danos

Rare to see sunrise in New York, that is a city where visitors sleep late..!
But this is a awesome moment, and well recorded...
Accurate exposure and fine details, a treat to my eyes!

Fantastic sunrise orange tone, Beverly - who would not take this advantage...?
Perfect moment as the scrapers come as silhouette against the lightened sky. Enlighting moment.
Enjoy a nice weekend,
