Oh, this is one of the most known views of New York.
I've paid $US170 for the helicopter's trip around Manhattan. But it is not high price for the old dream.

Finalement, 170$ ce n'est pas tellement cher pour obtenir un aussi beau résultat. On ne dirait pas que tu photographes à travers un plexi glass. Les détails sont d'une grande netteté et la lumière magnifique.

next time i go to NYC I will do the same!!!
I didn't even think to do this last time i visited.
looks like you get amazing views.
how long is the helicopter ride?
glad to see a dream came true, and you're so correct, if this is what you want to do - go for it!!!
You've inspired me

What a magnificent capture of this cityscape from above ! Really a patchwork of houses. The lighting is excellent and brings out some good detail. Very nice DOF and point of view, very impressive. I feel like Superman flying...
Have a nice Sunday.

Big smiley from me on this :)
I love these city scenes and I would sit for a long time and look at each building in its own right and appreciate all of the unique styles of architecture on display, and what a range there is here! Brilliant urban scene showing just how densely built this city is, a result well worth the price. I would frame this shot and hang it, a beauty and a real eye catcher.
All the best

I am surprised to learn New York City permits tourist helicopters. And we are glad you 'foot the bill' of $170 to share this fine view of Manhattan in good resolution and blue tone. The compressed, crowded sky scrapers are very unique.

una vista magnifica da un ottimo pov, sembra incredibile che tutto questo è stato costruito dagli uomini.

Next time I go to NYC, I'll do that too... it's always worth the price!
I love this picture! It's wonderful and has great photo quality!
TFS - congrats,

Yes, it is iconic and I have never seen it from this angle before. What a thrill it must have been to see it from a helicopter. Your shot is amazingly sharp from such a location!
You have still created a shot which is well composed with good leads for the sense of direction.
I couldn't believe how much the building, second in from the left, resembled a juke box that we used to have!
Have a lovely Sunday,

A beautiful look of the city. This photo contains a nice blending of rich colors and bright light, yet not been overexposed. I like the framing also.
Have nice times.

Great shot! I recognized this spot right away; you have the north side of Battery Park in the frame. Those buildings, with so many tiny windows, look like they are made of Legos from such a high POV. Really nice sharpness and lighting, too.

We participate and take benefit of your joy thourgh your picture.
Were you inside or outside the helicopter to take such a good picture?
Great quality, nice light and perfect sharpen.
Thank you Serghei.

A fantastic view from this perspective, just above Battery Park. How far has the new World Trade Center progressed now? This must be early morning, with this direction of the sun. But you still have your camera on Ural time;)

In your reply to Craig I read that the helicopter's trip is around 30-40 minutes. I guess that not all passengers can get a window seat ...
I'm pleased to see different colours on the skyscrapers and I like your inclusion of a part of the park at the bottom and a partial view of the river on top.
Best regards, Paul

Wow this is a bird's eye view Serghei and what crisp and clear details. A magnificent shot and how fortunate you were with the light. Money well spent! Warm regards Rosemary

With so many to choose from, it must have been difficult to decide!?? :) A great choice though, and I know there are many, many more...so I hope we get to see them, because this kind of vantage point is truly amazing. Certainly worth the price of admission to get this opportunity to view NYC in such a way.
I'm impressed that the relatively slow shutter speed from a moving object like this has produced such a clear and sharp image...a testament to both the photographer and camera! :) Like a Legoland village below, this is really a fun and exciting way to see and present this vibrant city. So glad you had a memorable experience all around, and have the pictures to prove it! Have a great day ahead. Take care.
My friendliest wishes from back in Arizona,

You shows us a nice panorama view about these big city as Manhattan.
All these skyscrapers together with a little bit green in foreground makes these picture attractive.
Sharpness and clarity be superb.
Very well done, TFS.

how could I miss this one?
quintessence of New York-concrete jungle till horizon, but how beauitful it looks. As a fan of such views I could admire it for a long, long time(you´re right 170$US is not much to experience N.Y from I think its most beautiful perspective-from above).
Captivating view and sharp and clear image!
Have a good day

Money well spent if it permits great shots like this. I paid $250 Au for a helicopter flight over Uluru and Katatjuta in central Australia. I considered it a one off and well worth doing. Who knows when if at all you will ever be back in this city? Good sharpness and the subtle warm cold color contrasts are nice. Tfs!
