The sun has set and dusk is settling over the great salt marsh on the barrier island between the Great South Bay and the Atlantic Ocean, along the south shore of Long Island, New York.

This place is within 30 miles of Manhattan.

This has such great late afternoon (or early morning?) light! Just golden. It's a very straightforward composition, of course, but that's sort of the point with a salt marsh :) I like that you've included the reeds in the front, and the water does a decent job of breaking up the straight lines. Nice capture overall, and a very nice perspective on a place so near a huge city, yet seemingly so isolated.
