During a trip to New York this year we visited the 9/11 memorial and just as you go inside the Visitors Centre is this wonderfull tribute bike designed and built by Paul Jr of American Chopper fame. All the elements on the bike have been designed to reflect the architectural elements of the rebuilding of the World Trade Centre. The bike suffered extensive damage due to the effects of hurricane Sandy where it lay under 4-5 feet of water. It has since been restored and sits in the Visitors Centre as a permanent memorial to the people who lost their lives on 9/11.

Now you see Arthur, as a fan of motor bikes I love this! Don't think you would get too many mpg from the tank but the bike gets my juices flowing!

What a unique memorial, and one that the artist has obviously put a lot of though and consideration into. Such an unusual idea, but working so well. I love that he has taken architectural considerations in too to make this one of a kind. Great find, and a perfect one to share here in TE, I'm well pleased to learn of this fascinating bike.
All the best

Merveilleux chopper de collection, j'aime les teintes et la lumière, j'aurai cadrer plus bas pour avoir les pneus en entier, sinon une belle présentation

Dear Arthur, nice record from a museum, a strange design but typical of the chopper motorbike and a special exhaust pipe, nice model exposed, hope you enjoyed your stay in Ny, warm regards

This is an unusual monument but, I have to say, a very thought producing monument, which is what monuments should achieve.
A good angled composition draws our attention across the frame, with lots of details to share and reflect upon.
I like the inclusion of the pedestrians feet, walking past the monument, symbolically saying we must remember, but life goes busily on!
My warm regards,

This is a very classy bike. It is a shame they always place these things in cages such that one can't get a good angle to photograph them. I think you have coped with the challenge quite well. Congrats & TFS.

Good evening Arthur,
Wonderful statue made out from a damaged motorcycle, no gas-tank and added elements not usual for a vehicle.
Fine clear details, golden light indoor's collected superbly.

I am not an arduous biker, but this machine looks from the future.True passion for bikes must have ignited the passion to make this great monster of a bike by the designer.Great capture, just love it.TFS.

the originality of its structure and the symbolism it bears make this bike very intriguing and attractive. I think that if the entire bike was incuded in the frame, the sense of dynamism would be even more effective -but it must have been difficult to obtain a broader point of view. There's superb depth, fascinating details and textures. I like the scene in the background with the movement of a group of people walking by. Maybe they are too carefree or hurried to have a look. Light and colour management are excellent. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a lovely evening,
