Photographer’s Note

A few days ago I posted this macro shot of ice crystals captured on a window at home. Cormac's comment suggested that the original blueish color would convey the sense of ice and cold even better. While I fully agreed to his comment, the image wasn't blueish at all - being taken around noon the background was a very light brown (given by the siding of the neighbor's house).

I didn't feel like re-processing it, so I was waiting for a chance to get a blueish one without cheating. Well, the chance came today: again frigid temperature (~8°F/-14°C when this image was taken), the right background color (the image was taken before sunset) and a frozen kitchen window. You can see the result here, and another one as a workshop. No post-processing except downsizing (using bicubic sharper) and framing. Hope you'll find these more inspiring and you'll enjoy the everchanging textures and patterns, any criticsm would be appreciated.
