In Australia, North and South America, and to a lesser extent Europe, it is traditional to decorate the outside of houses with lights and sometimes with illuminated sleighs, snowmen, and other Christmas figures. Municipalities often sponsor decorations as well. Christmas banners may be hung from street lights and Christmas trees placed in the town square.

In the Western world, rolls of brightly-colored paper with secular or religious Christmas motifs are manufactured for the purpose of wrapping gifts. The display of Christmas villages has also become a tradition in many homes during this season.

This is a really nice Christmas scene. The panoramic style works well here and I think your exposure was well done too. I wouldn't mind it a bit bigger and I don't really care for the frame, but it is a very nice shot.

Excelenta compozitie, culori si atmosfera de Craciun ! Astea da, ornamente. Mi-ar place si mie, recunosc. Foarte frumos.

Hi Catalin, you're very right about Europe not being so much into decorating their houses with light. The first time I got from europe during christmas time to the US I was kind of shocked. In the meantime I got used and liek it. Yesterday I was walking through one of the most beautiful streets of my town and got to see the tallest, lightened redwood in the US. It was an amazing experience and I will try to go there again ... this time with my camera!
Your post turns out to be pretty interesting and I like the more punctuate light against the more diffuse coming from the figures.
