Twice a year an group of us get together in Cooperstown, New York to play baseball for about a week. We went there early last month and then again last week.
Because of the variety of ages and talent levels sometimes it is a challenge to set up the teams evenly since we have players ranging from 19 years old all the way up to nearly 80. But one of the good things that can come out of the mix is the chance for fathers and sons to play together and in a couple of instances there have been 3 generations playing together on the same team.
The player in this photo is actually in college and plays on the baseball team at school. The player pitching to him is his father and it was the first time they had ever played together as father/son pitcher/catcher in their lives.

Superb sports shot. The eyes of the catcher fixed on the just visible ball, the gloved hand ready for the catch, there is everything in this one that makes a great picture.
have a good time
