Photographer's Note
the old Oreo factory in Chelsea in NYC has been transformed in a foodies paradise. It is today a upmarket shopping mall with emphasis on good food.
Here we see the Sandwich counter at a place called "the lobster place" a joint that caters in fresh seafood of all kinds. The sandwiches and rolls are made fresh on order and just next to it is a counter with a great choice of beautiful chowders.
The longest cue in the place acctually is where you choose your own living lobster from a grand display, let it bee cooked freshly for you and then devour it on the spot.

Hello Daniel,
Just reading your note and the blackboard above the counter makes my mouth water. And I don't even see any food:-). But it's a nice and interesting composition, quite appetizing.
All the best, and Gott nytt år!

Hi, menu looks inviting, i would like crabs or lobster, but they are expensive. But to have living lobster taken and then cooked rather not. I know it is hipocrysy. I was in Chelsea, interesting place in NYC, but onle on High Line.
Nicely composed photo. Warm regards

Hi Daniel
A well recorded daily life shot with proper framing and the elements are well in place there. I fine the menu on top is striking for it serves as strong contrast as well as attractive the eyes. Lighting is natural along with the colors and there is fine facial contact there adding the interest. Well done.
Kind regards

Hi Daniel,
I'm not a fan of American junk food but this place seems to have something really good. Well spotted scene, simple and attractive.
Have a fine weekend.

Hi Daniel,
Great POV to show this daily scene, and a great idea to include the menu to make us all hungry. THough, I have to admit that not being a seafood person, I have never tasted lobster. That menu makes it tempting to try though!
All the best

Hi Daniel,
interesting way to present this aspect of American life. I am always upset when I hear Europeans laughing at American diet. The fact is that average diet over there may not be great, but it is also true for average European, and at the same time whoever wants to find good food has certainly plenty of possibilities for that. I remember it well from the time I lived in the US. It is always a trick to find a good place to eat also in Europe. I remember having stomachache in Barcelona or Rome as the tourist restaurants even elegantly looking served pretty bad food and not cheap.
Nice capture here,
M

Hello Daniel
It was a good idea to include the menu above: it balances the composition and gives us more information about the sort of place it is. Well seen and well shot.

Will
