750,000 U.S. Gallons per second, split between the American falls, Bridal Veil falls and the Horseshoe falls. 15 miles from the falls, the Niagara river empties into Lake Ontorio, the fifth great lake. To put all this into perspective, here some more facts. 20% of the world's fresh water, lies in the four biggest Great Lakes and most of this flows over the Niagara falls and into Lake Ontorio. The water flow never stops through the year so do the math and you will like me wonder how much water there is in the lakes.

Most of the horseshoe falls is the Canadian side and the view of the falls is supposed to be much better from Canada. Some of the tourist attractions at the falls like the Maid of the Mist and most of the Cave of the Winds. The best time to visit is May to October. It is a great American tourist attraction and definitely worth a visit.
