This is going to sound like a whinge session - but it is constructive!!!
where is the gulls head? try to get the bird in frame - especially the head. also the bottom left hand corner is over exposed. The photo is too small - try and get the biggest 800 file you can upload, otherwise a lot of data is lost and there is no photographers notes.
remember the only failure is in giving up - keep posting and your photography will get better!
