Photographer’s Note

Hiking the Appalachian Trail at the Delaware Water Gap yesterday, the morning was mild and the scenery much prettier than when we’d gone in April. This is the first of several photos, on the way up to Sunfish Pond. The hike is about two and a half hours one way, a moderate trail, sometimes steep and rocky, sometimes level. Until you get to the pond, the trek is through the woods, and they are green and lovely this time of year.
