Andrzej,

I have a few problems with your photo. 1) The entire picture, especially the pipe and water, is out of focus. This is kinda distracting b/c the pipe leading out into the water is very interesting piece. 2) The shadow that the title of this picture mentions distracts the viewer from the more interesting subject, the pipe and water.

I do have to say that i do like the composition, and how the pipe is leading your gaze towards the water, but a better framing of the subject and no shadow would have made this shot way better.

In response to the other comment, I think that the camera focused on the sand. The shadow is out of focus because it was not sharp on the sand - it's not the photographer's fault (look at any shadow by an object several feet away and you'll see it's not a sharp shadow). I grew up in OC so I came here looking for photos, and this one is a nice reminder.
