Photographer’s Note
April 1, I posted this shot of New York. Today as were were at the airport to leave, I took this shot. The snow flakes were huge, but shooting through the window the drops of water on the glass were more prominant. I thought it was so funny, I had to post it.
I guess that's spring in many places, it starts and then it takes a break.

Hi Patricia,
This is a different kind of image...but I like the effect of the water drops on the glass.
I only think that you sohuld have crop the lower part of the image...and show us just the glass.
but still is a nice imagew.

Hi Pat
This is too much abstract. Interesting, but not as much as most of your photos.
Happy return to OB. The sun seems to be returning too, after some grey weather.

Hi Patricia. I don't think it's too abstract, I quite like the effect given by the rain droplets on the window surface. Two things I think about is (a) compositionally it would have been good to take two steps to the right (if possible) in order to not have overlap between the foreground element and the control tower, and (b) technically I think you could play with contrast in post-work (even boost it quite strongly) and it might yield a totally different result. Greetings from Kyoto, Japan.

Today snow felt also on the hills near my village - so spring doesn't want to come to us!! This morning I came back from Triest, driving with a strong wind a strong rain. And it is so cold, also! Your pic describes such a situation in an airport, well done!

Hi Patricia,
This is something different, and I like it very much.
I think that what makes this photo special is the atmosphere that the image conveys to me ( just flew out of Argentina yesterday).
Also like how you managed exposure.
Best regards,
Carlos

Hi Patricia,
I can certainly relate to this funny season. Same here. Last week was filled with sun, and this week we've had snow and rain too. Crazy. "April is the cruellest month..." ;-)
I like the general concept of your shot, but somehow, if you don't mind, I wasn't that much into its composition. I played around with it and uploaded my version in the WS. I felt that it needed a bit of anchoring.
Hope you are warm and dry again! :-)

Hi Pat, I caught one and half days of rain during my two days staying in Northern California. I saw the similar view from airport when I left Oakland Airport and I had the view of the rain drops from my car windshield most of the time during my stay. I even get some trouble with my camera. Well it is spring. It is as expected. Fortunately, Southern California is not as crazy as last year.
I hope the rain did not hold you in the airport for too long :D

Hi Patricia. Well anyone who can make a place like Newark look good should be commended, lol! I think Norbert is correct with the POV and I most agree about the contrast. I think your WS "Contrast & Crop" is getting close. tfs Patricia.

This is a typical Spring day in England too. I like the hazy effect of the plane through the window. I agree with Theresa that a crop at the bottom would have been beneficial, but on the whole I like this almost abstract shot.

Serwus Patricia !
Chose this one today because You show a place close to my heart ;) As i work at the airport on the snowy, rainy, foggy, cold days i'm always envy of all those comfortable people in the terminal with their brand new Nikons aiming at these noisy monsters on the apron :) But i must tell You, i love this job ;)
Nice effect You captured here, Pat. Good focus on the raindrops with the fine use of fuzzy background. Well done.
Have a nice weekend, i'm actually working on saturday and sunday ;)

Hi Pat, wonderful idea, I wouldn't crop it because there's a particular long drop that I like very much (bottom center), the blurred background is very nice, esp. as we can identify the Continental logo on the plane's tail. The dark element on left is a good idea too, because the drops look different on this background, so the photo is more interesting. Congratulations, Daniel
ps - I checked the workshop versions, and I still prefer the original version

Hi Pat,
Something different from your usual style.I think it would be better if there was less condensation and raindrops then there would be more "body" to the image.Nice experiment though and you are right about spring weather.

Hi Pat,
Us Trekers do not often take pictures in this kind of weather but the image of the water splattered car window looking out to the jet plane makes us appreicate more those cloudless blue sky landscapes. Excellent sharp details to the dreay scene.
