[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
As if the winter wasn't long enough I went looking for snow this morning, I can't seem to get enough. This is in Jaffrey New Hampshire and was just so typical New England that I had to give it a go. The whites are always troublesome and even tho they show less well due to the TE post size these are really not too hot. In the back ground is Mt. Monadnock.

Hi Greg,
Very nice capture ! Perfect pov and very nice compo. Dark blue sky builds a perfect background to this nice wintery scenery.

Hello Greg,
the deep blue of the sky contrasting so well the white snow makes the shot very appealing; compo works well with the view of this beautiful winter scenario with the church (I'm guessing) as a main character.

Hello Greg,
the conjunction of snow and major blue gives a very pleasant spectable. The red huts or houses bring a complementary element attracting. It is interesting to discover a church in the American countryside.

I think that maybe in this instance you could have avoided any trouble with the bright white snow, by using an ND grad filter...with the dark side on the bottom of the frame....i don't know, just a thought...but it is positively New England.

fine exposure and good contrast, not easy with the snow but you got it !

Hi Greg,
This image is so New England that it does not require a title. Wonderful reds to contrast with the mid March snow and typical wooden church. The sky is electric and the little bits of gold exposed around the trees is another fine element. Some of the small village in the Finger Lakes look like this because its was settled by Vermonters moving west.

Hi Greg,
An extreme polariser effect but i like that, brings me back to the good old days of slide film. The imapact on the colours in great with the red houses, white snow and superb blue gradient in the sky, i like it a lot.

the upper part of the photo seems too dark :) sorry I began with critisism. nevertheless this is a great image good example of thoughtful photography. the blue of the sky is very unique so fine and of course the combination of church and snow white so fabulous really

Im glad im not seeing the USA in winter. I think the whites in your shot are very clean looking. The dark blue sky which grads into a lighter blue is fantastic and compliments the church and snow well.

hello greg

the scenery is nice with the well exposed detailed whites against saturated blue of the sky. nonetheless, i feel, i have a problem with the sky going almost black at the edges. this is a known effect of the polarizng filter when used with wide angle lenses.
