Hi John.
Landscapes usually have an horizontal view or composition. But also the vertical composition are good for this kind of photo.
Here not only we see a good composition, the light looks really good. You only need see the clouds or the trees at the end of the photo for understand what I mean.

Amazing fall colours, and beautifully framed with the stream in the foreground, which seems to lead our eyes right into the trees. I got a big kick from the state licence plates too, because in a world of platitudes and nice marketing slogans they sure cut against the grain! Well done!

Good composition John.I like the vertical format for this scene as it includes the maximum of details from the running water with the rocks and the leaves in the foreground,the fallen leaves are echoing those still in the trees,where you have surely waited for the sun to illuminate those colors.The spectacle is closed by the towering clouds.
Just a litte bit too much sharpening.

This sizzled just looking at the thumbnail. I opened it up and was not disappointed. The depth and focus are both top drawer and the light, especially in the centre of the frame on the rocks, is wonderful. I can't avoid mentioning the stunning Autumn colours - vivid and beautiful. I think Autumn missed the UK this year. Hot October and now Winter winds means the leaves are going before we see their lovely colours.

Hello John. I keep seeing photos from all over in your gallery. I am sure glad to see these photo captures you manage to find so well.
A very nice setting for a wide angle photo by including the shoreline rocks and fall leaves in the water. I particularly like the red tree in the upper left which seems to balance the color combinations in this setting. Very nicely done John!

Hi John
A very strong composition with a very wide variety of hues. It's only now, that the colours are beginning to change in England due to the warm October we've had. I'll be off to Bath tomorrow to see if I can accomplish and English version of New Hampshire. Nice to see the rich reds in particular. The vertical format has served you well and helps to deliver good depth across the scene. The foreground of leaves is a good, detailed feature which delivers extra impact. Nicely balanced composition with a good control of light.

I can just feel the chill in the air with this image. You are right NH is an interesting place as are the inhabitants. As usual you are right on form with image with interest throughout the image. I do like the colored leaves floating in the backwater of the stream. Well done!

Hi John,
The photo has exceptional DOF; it feels like I'm standing of the bank looking at lovely atuumn tableau across the river. From the leaves floating in the river to the clouds, the detail is excellent. The colors are perfectly saturated with the touch of blue at the top providing a great accent to the autumnal reds and golds.

Hi John, I've been off TE for some time and missed a lot of stuff. What a gem here. Deep field, excellent composition, and great light, giving interest to every corner of the frame, from the foreground leaves in the water to the distant blue sky. The red tree on the left is gorgeous!
