Photographer’s Note
Groveton covered bridge is situated in the White Mountains region of New Hampshire. It is one of the only covered bridges of New England that has been painted both inside and outside.
The bridge spans the Ammonoosue River.
The photo shows how elaborate and heavy the construction is.
The bridge dates from 1852 and was built by Captain Charles Richardson and his son. When U.S. Route 3 was reconstructed in 1939, the Groveton covered bridge was bypassed. It is now used for foot traffic only.
In workshop you can find a front view of the bridge.

Hi Paul!
That's an extremely interesting, attractive and eye-catching picture! It's also beautiful, with excellent sharpness, perfect exposure, very nice colors, very well chosen pov and superb composition!
All the details of the structure of the bridge were so well captured and the visual results are terrific! The inside of the bridge is the main element in this image, but the outside also plays an important role in it! Awesome photo job!
TFS - Congratulations!

Bonsoir Paul,

Hi Paul,
Wonderful look at the insides of one of these old wooden beauties.
It is alway hard to manage the light streaming through the insides of these bridges and you did a fine job of handling it.

Bonjour Paul,
Excellent dimanche.

Hi Paul,
very interesting bridge, I like these old wooden constructions a lot, they show a lot of ingeniousity and often last longer than sttel or concrete constructions.

Good shot Paul. The composition of the bridge's structure, especially the flooring planks lends itself well to your shot. Great lines! Color and clarity are nice. The brightly colored foliage out the end is a good touch.
I attempted a shot a few years ago pretty similar to yours which is posted in my TE page. Yours is much better!

Salut Paul,

A successful perspective of this beautiful metallic construction.
The mix of curves and straight lines is particularly pleasing.
The note, which accompanies it, is interesting.

Paul, what a great shot, so often the reason for the covers can't be properly photographed but you did a great job here. The WS is also a great capture, technicals seem perfect to me on both shots.

This is a unusual image of a covered bridge, and a superb one at that. The internal structure of one of these iconic bridges is revealed for the first time in my mind.
