On Lake Winnipesaukee, a photo from New Hampshire, Northeast

Photographer's Note

I drove by Meredith on my way from Boston to White Mountain area. Meredith is a beautiful small town next to Lake Winnipesaukee, the largest lake in New Hampshire. The view attracted me to pull out on the road and to take a few pictures. This is a typical New England small town view with colorful paintings and colorful flowers. I guess the building is a hotel, however, I am not sure.

Well composed picture with the bridge/pier in front. The colours are very pleasant and the picture has a fine clarity. So again a very good picture, well done.

Hi Wes. Another wonderful view of a quaint and refined New England town. I like the composition and natural colors. You might want to push the contrast up just to see how it looks. But the focus is excellent. Well done Mr. Wes!

Wes the wooden walkway by itself is not much of a photo. Neither is the hotel bay itself too attractive to see. but for some reason having the two together makes this a gorgous site to see. It fills the frame very nicely and a nice balance too. Thanks for posting!

Great shot Wes! The colors are clear and sharp. I like the way the one pillar on the pier is offset. There is also a hint of the mountain in the background that is enjoyable. Nice work!

I find Paul's (PJE) comment interesting and fully agreed what he mentioned. To me it is the rhythm of those posts that protrude along the walkway that broke the monotonous repetition in the background. It is a nice place for a break. Well done!! Regards.

It´s a well composed shot with the included wooden path in the foreground this adds depth to the perspective.I tried a Ws for fun,-hope you like it.

I would bet that you are right about the hotel Wes.
I really enjoyed New England when I visited Boston and the erea. It's a very enchanting place and this image reminds me of that. I like the composition with the boardwalk and the seagull.

This picture is very good, i like the pier in the foreground with the hotel/club in the background, the blue color of the lake with the sky make a good color contrast. Very good reflection on the water. Very well composed. As always the focus is excellent.

Good use of horizontal layering in this neat and colorful shot, Wes, the overall total looks very New-England indeed. The pier in the foreground brings a nice textural variety and an added interest with the sitting seagull.

Hi Wes, nice composition with the pier in the foreground and the hotel creating the background setting. The seagull on the pier is a nice touch filling the gap between the pier and the hotel. Nice dof and colours. Well done!

A well composed shot of this bucolic scene. I like the serenity which dominates and how the large building snuggles into the foliage surrounding. The water allures and one can see the dapples and little currents clearly. The gull enhances. The scene is well balanced and a pleasure to view. Well done.
