[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
My motto:
"Never post any sunset (sunrise) on TE".
----------------------------------
Every man is allowed to have the moments of weakness in his life.
Here is my excuse for taking picture of the sunrise (sunset):
I'm sorry for that 'human element' in the picture. SHE appeared out of nowhere in the last moment, spoiling my beautiful settings of sunset (sunrise) and out of sheer panic I pressed the button.
Thanks God, she wasn't wet and all naked like few years before on the Daytona Beach, running towards me from the water with the obvious intentions of disrupting my sunrise (sunset) photo session. She must have been really mad at me then, because she have repeated that treat back and forth quite few times.
Due to inhuman TOS regulations imposed upon us by the insensitive administration, I'm not allowed to post the OTHER shots of sunrise (sunset), just to prove how difficult the life of a photographer can be.
That's why I decided to post THIS ONE...As a warning for my young and inexperienced colleagues.
People can disrupt your best sunset (sunrise) shots.
People can disrupt your best shots of buildings, traffic signs, empty meadows, concrete floors, streets, walls and stairs.
Just don't let them do it to you, what they did to me.
Use the trees, fences, flag poles, rocks and bushes, and grass in your pictures, instead.
-----------------------------------
Have a most wonderful weekend, folks.
Don't forget to be cute.
Don't forget to spend those green macacas.

Bonjour Georges.
You get here a wonderfull composition. The picture is noisy and little bit overexposed. But i like the frame, the cropping and the beautifull light.
Well done
Bertrand

Fantastic shot George!
Not so sharpen but well composed, with beautiful lighting and sunset colors.

Regards,
Chrysoula.

The strong sunlight is great, creating the silhouette, and I like noise so the grain in the shot is somethign I find pleasing anyway.

Having read the notes, your Daytona Beach shot sounds like it might be good ;)

Hi Georges
We have "the spy that comes from the cold"
We now have the photograph nightmare coming from the land of sea and sun.Run to cover everyone.
Funny how a photo so full of defect(noise and overexposition)can be so perfect, transmit a mood so full of love and mystery, love being such a mystery.
Have a good weekend
Charles

Lovely work George,
apart from the super compo and light and colours and silhouette ...etc, I actually find the noise/grain to be very pretty. with noise the picture has more 'texture' and 'feeling' to it and I see that contrasts well with other 'normal' noise-free sunrise/set works. Great work here.
Nice weekend

Nigdy? No, chyba ze taki !!!
Bomba.
Pozdrawiam. Grazyna.

My gosh George! You are posting a photo of sunset/sunrise today, and me, a photo of monks! Trekearth has a very bad influence!!! HELP!! We need serious help here! :)))
But hey! There is no other photo of sunset/sunrise like this one! A wonderful grain is making it even more beautiful. And the colors are... oh! so inspiring. There is poetry here. And your note is a good counterpoint!
Well dear George, I am giving you the title "Full-fledged TE member"! ;)
Claire

A gentle accomplice smile from me; a broad live green smile from TE. That's all you deserve today for this picture! ;)

Hello George,
another duotone picture!!most of the time the two tones are B/W but here it is yellow and black. A sunset by you? This ain't no sunset...just a fine piece of art. Another picture with a soul of its own. I like the noise all the way around but there is a "halo around the lady...a clean halo with nose noise, with good sharpness and good contrast...was the noise added afterwards?:D Maybe it's just her aura:D
Be cute too
Marc

Ty przewrotna bestio.

Fajna kompozycja - wspaniale oswietlenie.
Pozdrawiam

ALL LIES!! YOU THINK THAT WE ARE STUPID!!
Ha ha....
you can't simply post a poetic picture, you have to tell us also a lot of lies about your subject...! Ha ha.. !!!

Hi George,
You are unutterably, unalterably the crazy gadfly of TE - and we love you for it...The image is surreal in a way. I like the silhouette, the grainy beach, the overall mood of romance, mystery and anticipation. Well done, my friend...demain.

Hello George,

Weird moment. At the same time you post, 4 of my favs have posted a sunset/sunrise in a row. Must my some allignement of planets or something! You once told me that uniqueness is the key to be seen throught these thousands of pictures and photographes. Well this is one of a kind. What an ambiance! What emotion! What .... well you get my point. Creating this atmophere in your picture is the element that "spoiled" it for you.

It's absolutly perfect. Well done.

Seb...

ps, I wouldn't mind seeing your other tries at sunset/sunrise ;)

Ah, I've been attacked like this before. It is terrible. Mouth filled with deceipt and eyes filled with passion for ones attention. You are right to post this warning. I have yet to actually capture the attack as it happens, so stunned am I by the sudden imposition into my simple and calm world. A series of confusing questions and telling expressions...of comparisons and contradictions; it is a terror and shock to the soul when such behavior pounces on my time.

I love women; don't tell them, it's ammunition.

Chris

Hi George,
It's OK, I think that I didn't forget to be cute last week-end. I suffer too from naked girls running toward me. I find it very disruptive... ;-) This is why I'm now heading toward widelife photography. I'll also buy a 90000000mm and shoot creatures from behind the sand dunes.
Funny note.
Nicolas

Hello George,
This shot would be so lyrical, so symbolic, so evocative. But then, I read your note, and am rolling with laughter. Out the mysticism! Harsh reality sets in. Next time, perhaps, I should first comment on the shot, THEN read your note! :-)
A great central composition, she looks like she is made of sun, fused with the golden fabric of this dream...
The grain is an absolute essential.

sasa

The composition is great and makes it different from "just a sunset". I like the grainy rendering giving it again a look of something really different.

Super :):):):):)))
Pozdrawiam Arek

After Sasa's comment, what can I say more!?I must add only one thing:this contrast between your sunset/sunrise :) and this frame makes your composition more powerful
A nice Sunday,George...and be always cute :)
Isabela

I don't think that this woman ruined your photo, oposite, without her, this photo is nothing. You have very beautiful photographs, just stunning. In my opinion, this one is definitely the worst.

Hi Georges ..

What a nice picture.
The grain of old manual reflex are really a thing not seen with new DSLR.
Colors are really nice.

Regards.

Yves

Chociaż zrobione w 2000 roku, tak naprawdę jest to zdjęcie lat siedemdziesiątych. Podróż w przeszłość tylko pozornie niesentymentalna. Wtedy się zaczęło i pięknie, jeśli trwa... Dostałam wtedy piękną pocztówkę, a na niej chłopca i dziewczynę biegnących prosto w słońce i wiersz jakiś o wyspach szczęśliwych... a dalej... eh, something very personal... :((( :))).
I tylko mnie jedno zbija z pantałyku w tych rzewnych dywagacjach - czemu ona, na miły Bóg,w kamizelce ratunkowej ???? No, czemu ?

Pozdrowienia,

interesting silhouette, warm colors, charming noise, interesting athmosphere in this pic... and i like sunsets/sunrises... when they are huge, here it is not the case, but it's not the real subject too, it's the girl's silhouette and her reflection on wet sand
so it's not just another sunrise/set :D
regards
jo

George, I lıke your sense of sarcasm (or humour), and I am one of those who dıslıke sunrıse/sunset photos wıthout any ınterestıng feature ın ıt, but here the reflected sılhouette ıs super and ıt ıs really an ınspıred shot,
