Hi Greg,
Good timing for photographing friends while they are between poles. Repeating poles and metal barriers increase your perspective view there. Excellent focusing with blurry background. You took this frame at May 17th and they are wearing pretty thick. Here people getting cold sick if temperature drop below 20 Celsius degree ( 68F ). Wonderful portraits of them with their natural poses. Many cheers you to all. Congratulations.
Best Regards,
Ertugrul

Hello Greg,
The idea of the composition was very good with the use of the pattern of lamp posts. The photo would have been better if Zmey as Avene was clearly readable in the frame without the stacking of the guy with the lamp. It was only playing on 1 seconde, but it seems it would have been perfect.
Whatever, the idea was very good and the use of a small deep of field was well adpated to this kind of photo.
Yves.

Hi Greg, nice perspectives seen with these posts on the pier, and your timing to place Kristine and Kristaps was perfect. Nice depth of field to put them in great focus, but mute down the background of the city over the water. Colours are great.
Thanks, John

Hello Greg,
You found a very fine perspective for this picture, and the couple are coming towards us at the right place. The diagonal line of the quay is strongly countered by the vertical lines of the lamp-posts. Well saturated colors.

Gert

Hello Greg,
It is a very different image in your work, and I like it. It is superbly framed, supported on the repetition of the reverberators and their perspective. It is alive and coloured. The back blur focuses the glance on the scene. Excellent.
Have a nice day

We have a saying in Italian: (I don't know whether it exists in English) "to take two pigeons with one bean". You managed to have a good portrait of the two people and at the same time got the peculiarity of that bridge. A fine light completes the scene. A fine picture.

Greg,
Thanks you for this image, now I know what they relly look like, they are on my favorite list. for a long time I can only associate them with some cartoon images on their intro. I started to believe that's what really look like and they are from some toontown. Great image, technically perfect, Except Kristaps, does look like a happy camper, He looks as about to shoot you back. :)
Thanks for sharing, always. My best regards.
Way

Hi Greg,
You have captured your fellow Trekers in crystal clear colors and razor sharp details. Excellent focus on your subjects and a lovely muted background. I really like your placement of the lamppost.

Hello Greg,
This is such an interesting shot!
I love how you have managed to get them between the lamp posts, which, by the way, add an excellent impression of perspective.
Good light and shadows.
Kind regards,
Bev :-)
hey greg
i see... and how on earth i did not catch you taking THIS photo, m? :)) i guess, the darned piece of dust had already gotten into my eye judging by my expression here :)) anyway, quite surreal: the way you have composed it with the lamp-posts dominating. love the light too.
regards,
kristaps

Perfect coreography between the lamp posts, the two slim persons fitting in between and the photographer that could wait for the right moment to take the shot. Even the eye contact is there and makes it great. The best part? The yellow signs around the neck of the two showing a huge knowledge for photography or at least the potential, although the male seems not to have his polarizer filter on his lens.

Hi Greg,
Haha, this is nice, i missed this one during my stay in France. I remember the one you took from the back, but now both in front, how nice to see. Kristine is smiling, Kristaps is not sure what you were doing, great ;-)
The only bad thing is that they are still using Nikon, but together with you they seem in perfect company with those tools ;-)
Take care, Henk
ok, Greg, now I've filed you under "definitely a paparazzo" :) I'll have to be more careful next time :)
but I do like a lot how the square format and black lamp posts work together to create an interesting geometric patterns. the light feels fresh, just as it was on that windy day. nice :)
with best regards,
Kristine

Inclusion of the top of the lamps makes the composition especially interesting.
