[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Captain was the elected leader of the Lexington Militia. His quote from the morning of April 19, 1775 is carved in stone and shown in the workshop. The confrontation at Lexington took place before the battle at the north bridge but here it was the colonials that broke and ran.

The photo is my waxing a bit poetic. This shot represents all that the founding fathers held near and dear; freedom of religion, love of country, self determination. The Freedom to keep and bear arms is an enabling factor and not a driving tenet. Thee morning I shot this the weather was beautiful as you can see and all was right in my world...

Greg, I was there almost 15 years ago. Nice and clean shot with a very good pov. Flowers bring color and accent. Regards,

Hi Greg,
Wonderfully balanced image with the vibrant spring daffodils and highly detailed statue dominating the foreground and lovely clear blue sky and old white steppled church in the back ground. The colors are brilliant as well as the details and sharpness. The riffling flag is the icing on the cake.
Regards, Tom

Hi Greg,

hi Greg,
I like a lot this poetic shot, and you're right, all the elements together is what patriotism is all about. and this is exactly how I would have composed the photo to have all those symbols in, but still have enough space left for the photo to "breathe". the yellow daffodils are great colour accent just in the right place, while the low point of view nicely places the statue against the blue sky for extra impact. really nice work, my compliments.

with best regards,
Kristine

Hello Greg,
the image summarizes the convictions of old. It is a superb symbolic system composition. The image is of very good quality. I like the direction of the quotation of the ws.
Have a nice day

Often I take a picture simply because it is there. Most times I have little more concern than lighting, perspective and photographic composition.

But when there is a purpose, as in this picture, it makes all the difference in the world. This photograph is a good reflection of your poetic musing.

Hi Greg!

Excellent "portrait" job, your framing and composition are simply perfect, great depth of field allowing us to enjoy some of the background, too! Excellent light managment and beautiful colours! Congratulations!

hi Greg

Good pov of statue and its surrounding view. The flower at FG in bright yellow signals spring arrival but the trees are still bare.
