Photographer’s Note
The sand on the beach of Rockport is very soft and smooth. Even it was not a perfect sunny beach day and you have to go around the rocks on the beach; it is enjoyable to walk on the soft sand on your bare foot.
The area with buildings is the commercial area of Rockport, where you can eat at Lobster Restaurant; or Rent a Canoe.

Hi Wes,
Very cloudy day in the beach... but good day to walk. Nice POV, light and colors. I like the good contrast with the sun umbrellas.
Well done.

Interesting beach shot, which tells us quite a lot about the place. The lack of crowds and empty sea is quite a thing for the time of year and location.

Hi Mr. Trojan! Those two umbrellas sure add a splash of color with the less than cooperative sky. I don’t' think I've ever seen the ocean so flat. I guess I won't go surfing there! ;) Technically you did everything right. Great shot Wes.

Hi Wes,
Its a beach with a difference with all those rocks around but it does make the scene more interesting and harmonized well with the overcast sky. Good POV and the blue umbrellas helped to brighten the whole place. I like the quiet atmosphere. Well done!! Enjoy your weekend.

Hi Wes
Quite a different beach scene to the typical one. I like the moodiness resulting from the weather, and it is interesting to see just how close the buildings are to the water. The two parasols add contrast in the foreground - obviously a couple of people were determined to enjoy the beach despite the weather.

Hi Wes,
I continue to be amazed at the number of great locales you visited on your eastern trip. This is an especially delightful scene and one of my favourites from your trip thus far. The clarity is superb. The two umbrellas balance and act as a pleasing anomaly, as they contrast so vividly with the rest of the natural colours. The houses on the shore are in turn balanced by the bathers on the beach and the largel rocks. This is first class work, Wes. Very very pleasing, my friend.

Hello Wes, It's the umbrellas that really catch my eye here. Nicely tucked down in the bottom corner, their bright blue colour is a great contrast to this rather dull day.

Hi Wes,
A dynamic shot of this place. The scene is so appealing and makes me want to go to the beach, witch I am going to do at the end of the week. Good color and texture of the sandy beach.

Wes the two unbrellas and the people on the beach really add a nice touch to this photo. I like the curved shape of teh bay in the frame too. A very well thought out photo showing a lovely place to live and enjoy hte summer sun! Too bad about the weather. A little burst of sunlight would male this amazing.

Bonsoir Wes,

Hi Wes
Yeah, the use of polariser for such shot. It's a very well captured shot with good sharpness and clarity. But I needed to adjust the brightness of my monitor to get the correct brightness as the use of polariser have make this image a little lack of light exposure.
Still, it's a good image, pal.

Hey Wes,
my eyes are immediately drawn to the two umbrellas which really stand out against this sort of yellowish tint of the whole photo. The POV is very nice, showing us the sweeping beauty of the beach and town.

Hi Wes
this is another very good photo in your gallery ... I like the mood convyed by the tones very much ... only suggestion would be that I would have prefered to keep the sun umbrellas in the corner of the frame in order to increase some tension in the composition
thanks for posting this scene
cheers ... sarju

Hi Wes,
Rockport is a lovely town and you have captured its beauty well in this well-framed photo with the curve of the golden sand echoed by a curve in the clouds, the two bright beach umbrellas and the walkers. Your excellent use of the polarizer gave you lovely color as well.
Regards, Pat
