I was able to get very close to the balloon launches at this annual festival, but still needed the telephoto to capture the flame burning inside the balloon opening.

That mustve been a helluva difficult shot to take. The colours and the energy is superb while I love the freshness and the appeal. Nice looking composition

Oh dear, I hope the thing was not falling from the sky :) I saw a take off last year and when the basekt began to lift a wind sheer came and they were almost about to fall down again and I mean they were pretty high in just some seconds and I was shaking, I really was but they made their way. The fabric is really nice and strong and it was a good choice to have the flame going, I find this moment always special. I like it, Kathy! Have a good day ... Barbara.

Hello Kathy,

This is a fine composition, mostly thanks to the bold framing!
The colours are eye-catching, and the details in the balloon is well reproduced...
The tilt adds dynamics, I like this!
