Another shot here from the Head of the Charles Regatta in Cambridge and Boston, October 20, 2012. Though the Regatta is best known for its collegiate competitions, it is an open regatta; there are high school teams as well as adult amateur teams that compete, many of them from around the world.

This shot is of a two woman scull, just to the east of the Weeks footbridge, taken from the bridge itself. Two buildings along the Cambridge side of the river are reflected on the surface in the late afternoon sun.

A minimalistic image & of high quality - the light & few colours are great - Looking at the oars tells us that the ladies are rowing in perfect time with each other.

a good composition with great colors, so clear and sharp. The water looks lovely and the positioning of the boat in the frame works great here.

You always chose such great angles, particularly I like the viewpoint you have used. Love the angular approach, the light and the angular shadow across strong lines, repeat patterns and shapes in vivid colors to give a splendid shot. They absolutely standout stunningly against blue water in superb contrast and sharp throughout. You've applied the processing quite delicately and brought out the detail and yet kept the subtlety of the colour too. The water sheen is indeed a value added to the whole event, Quality goes without saying Andrew, My compliments :))

I like how you've positioned the rowers to the extreme edge of the frame. The colours and light are delightful and again the image is nice and sharp. The boat almost makes an abstract piece of art in itself. ncie work.

Hello Andrew,
This is a fine composition, quite sophisticated in its simplicity. The incredibly slim boat is well placed on a diagonal, there are some fine reflections of buildings (or whatever) and a few small buoys which through their colors become rather significant in spite of their small size. I think this picture could be quite stunning if blown up really large.
