Sunset Cargo

| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
I had an idea to try and see what it would be like to photograph a train at sunset so I went and got a schedule of trains. I set a tripod up at this location and waited. I did not know that a freight train with a series of tank cars would pass.
I did not care to know what was in the tanks either.
This is a departure from my usual landscape shots. I think it's good to select other photographic interests from time to time. |

Superb Michael,
You have managed the light in a perfect way.
Bravo!
Alex
Good job. Good you had this idea and waited waited until the shot would be the right one!!!
Very nice image, Michael. I love how dark most of the picture is, punctuated by the setting sun and golden highlights here and there. Also, the cloud in the background (steam, smoke, dust?) adds some "atmosphere" to the shot. Very well done!
