| Wow was it freezing! Nothing like endless ice and fierce wind to chill to the bone. Please send warmer weather here soon. |

Hi Kathy,
Your title suits the shot for these vast "plates" of ice. The shot has great depth as the ice seems never ending. I can only imagine how cold it must be. Nice work.

Hi Kathy, a very good visual interpretation of the theory of plate tectonics with the lower density crust(the ice sheet in the fg) being pushed upward on top of the heavier density crust while we see the graben (e.g rhein, east african rift valley) between ice sheets at the mid section of the background...Great PoV...Thanks for sharing...Sending you sunny tropical greetings from Manila, Alex
Hello Kathy! I can send you some rain and wind if you want ;) I am pretty surprised not seeing the points rolling for your latest post. I find it very well managed with the broken-up ice in your foreground showing some "minor" signs of spring maybe and some first cracks here and there until we reach the horizon. I really like it ... Barbara.
Kathy,
I like this one. Firstly, just a good idea for a photo; the composition and detail do the rest - love all the little bits of twig and leaf, perfectly realised in the foreground.
Nice one.
Colin
Hello Kathy,
I like this representation of winter - nothing shows just how cold it is better than huge sheets of ice!! :-) The composition is very nice, with the smaller broken pieces in the foreground, and then larger and larger ones in the distance. I hope it is warming up a bit near you. It's still pretty chilly over here!
Hello Kathy,
So incredibly different from the colour punch you were showing me in the previous photograph I commented on. But in one way the same; Very natural. The same natural feel I get with your reflection shot with the rope and the pole.
But here it feels cold, it feels icy. Even the quite dull background just says 'cold!'. Nice one.
Greetings,
Dennis
