Photographer's Note
Boston's Back Bay, which was my subject yesterday as well, is here presented during the day and from a different angle. This is perhaps my favorite view of Boston, from the Longfellow Bridge which leads from Boston's West End into Cambridge, MA and the Kendall Square district, home of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
Visible here, left to right, are the same buildings shown in yesterday's nighttime shot: the Old Hancock building, 500 Boylston, the John Hancock tower, 101 Huntington, and the Prudential Center. Also visible are the Pearson Publishing headquarters and a number of residential high rises along the Charles River.
The odd blob shape at far left is the Hatch Shell, a performance venue along the river. That is also where the Charles River Marina is located, a popular spot in summer months from where to rent a sailboat, as can be seen here.

Hello Andrew,
This is a nice view with some not bad looking buildings and some very nice looking boats. The long stretch of parkland indicates pleasant locations for long walks and other outdoor activities. The light and colors are great, but I wouldn't mind some additional sharpness. What do you say?
Kind regards,
Gert

Hello Andrew,
the presence of the sailboats are delightful and, along with their positions, works very well for your composition. They enhance the sense of depth and look so elegant, fragile and almost transparent next to the imposing buildings. I love the perspective, the beautiful soft light and colours. The greenery offers a superb chromatic and textural contrast. There's great clarity and the reflection on the glass skyscraper is a lovely eye catching detail. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a great day,
Ourania

Hello Andrew,
Bostonīs skyline is maybe not so spectacular or dense like this of New York or Chicago, but it has definitely its own charm and beauty.Nice view from the bay. These sailboats are also nice addition to the scene as they bring some lively atmosphere to the composition.Well composed and framed scene.Clarity, depth and colors are superb.

Hello Andrew,
you have found a nice light here. I like your composition with the three little boats forming a diagonal line from the right corner. The tall tower reflecting the blue of the sky sits bang on the thirds line. Also the shadow falling on it from the nearby building adds depth.

Hi Andrew,
Wonderful panorama of Boston from the side of the river. Excellent wide view with nice colours and good sharpness. Nice that there so many sailing boats there. Charming photo.
Two years ago I also visited Boston and I liked the city very much. It has many beautiful sites. I was specially interested in Cambridge part to see famous universities. And of course I went by the bridge with the length of 364.4 smoots plus or minus one ear. Funny that I was in Cambridge UK a month earlier.

Hello Andrew,
that shot brings back memories for me. It was exactly how i saw Back Bay!
I think it is a good idea to include so many boats, they somehow calm the scene. Nice, vivid colors as well!

Hi Andrew,
The distance between the sailboats and the highrise buildings is giving depth to the composition. The point of view is showing the details and colors of the highrise buildings. The good luminosity is enhancing the beauty of the colors. Have a nice day.
