Photographer’s Note
This is a continuation of sail Boston 2009 but it is also the continuation of the Tall Ships Race, end of leg 4 I think.
Emmanuel LE CLERCQ and I have corresponded and as it turns out he crewed this Dutch ship from Tenerife to Bermuda. Emmanuel this one is for you. Sorry it is against such a terrible bg.

Hi Greg,
It's interesting how the geometric and colourful pattern of the building, which could give a good photo, contributes negatively to the presentation of the ship. Nevertheless, I find it still a good photo presenting this boat which can be less glamorous than their bigger cousins, but it is still beautiful and elegant.

José

It's certainly not always easy to get the bg we would like, but still it's nice to be able to view the boats that attended this event. We are still able to see the details clearly. Another interesting post in this series. TFS

Greg, this is very kind of you to show the Tecla just for me. I would like to call her "my" Tecla, but trully she belongs to the Sluik family; Janet (the mother), Jan (the father), Gisj (the son), Jet (the daughter) and Nyske (the dog). I just would like to think of myself as a distant cousin...
To get slightly deeper in the ship's history and characterics, she is a formed Dutch herring lugger, built in 1915, with a gaff ketch rigging. Length is about 28 meters.
Here is the link to their website:

And my buk was in the port front cabin, which is at the front part of the ship very visible here.

Hi Greg. Yes a shame about the BG but in situations like this you have to make the most of what you have. Good sharpness and detail and good handling of light also. Nice work and thanks for sharing.
Have a good weekend, Paul.

Hi Greg,
Really enjoying your series from Boston Harbor.
Love these tall ships and would love to sail up the coast in one of these beauties.

Hello Greg,
Great contrast between the building and the boat. A closed frame with excellent graphics and very good details.
Best wishes,

Hello Greg.
Nice view of a traditional wooden sailboat towards a modern building.
I like the fine geometry of this shot.
Best regards.
Bobo.
