Photographer’s Note

From a recent series taken at Quabbin Reservoir. This was a fairly difficult shot due to the strong backlighting which nearly left the tree in the foreground completely in shadow. I raised the shadow detail in the foreground tree trunk, brought up foreground contrast and sharpened.

Note: white balance adjusted to cloudy setting to add warmth to the photo.

Beautiful capture Michael.
I love the hues of warm colors in your picture. I like your POV here with the large tree on the edge. I really miss being in the east for autumn.
